AEG B5741-4-m trips consumer unit!

I have an AEG B5741-4-m Cooker. It turns on to standby but when I turn the oven on and go to set a temp it trips the fuse in the consumer unit. Would this be caused by a faulty heating element? thank you

Oven keeps tripping Fisher paykell cooker range When I select function for oven it trips the main fuse box Setting temp sail first does not trip only when I select function ie fan assisted

Make sure there are no exposed wires, this will cause certain wires to touch and rip breakers, and also start a fire, if not dealt with.

My aeg oven has a child lock feature which I can't turn off could you please help

Which model do you have? For the AEG Competence B9820, you toggle the Child Lock on and off by pressing and holding the Selection Clock and - buttons simultaneously until the Child Lock changes state. See https://www.manualslib.com/manual/611343/Aeg-Competence-B9820-4.html?page=45 . For the BE7314401, press clock and down arrows for ~2 seconds until you hear a chime and the lock turns on or off. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/444474/Aeg-Be7314401.html?page=22 has the details.

Please add a comment with the model number for direction specific to your oven. I will attempt to determine if there is a different combination to enable or disable the child lock feature. Note: at least one AEG microwave/grill uses Press "Micro+Grill" once. Then press "Clear/Stop" 5 times to toggle the child lock on and off.

I hope this helps.

The oven is on and lights work. When I select a function, cooker remains on but when I select a temperature the cooker trips the mains

In a simple oven, this could be be due to a heavy current due to a fault (check with resistance meter) or if the resistance is OK the tripping could be cased by an 'earth leakage' which typically presents when an appliance is damp or a heating element has not been used for a while...

Touch control not working on aeg d98000 cooker

I'm afraid you have a bad board. I had a neighbor with the same problem and he had to replace just the stove top part. Hopefully, yours is just the temp setting part, but it may not be that if you can control the oven setting.

Oven wont heat up

This tutorial will show you how to check your Zanussi element and how to replace your Zanussi cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
  1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Zanussi manual.
  2. If you're Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
  3. When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

I have a stoves cooker which was working fine until we upgraded to the seventeeth edition consumer unit and rcds. Now I have a negative earth fault.Rcd trips out, circuit is fine up to the cooker. Any...

The clue will be when the rcd trips out. If everything is switched off on the cooker with the exception of the clock when you power it up and then it trips out, it could be in the wiring to the oven from the control switch and or the wiring in the oven. The only way you are going to find this is to take the oven out of the housing and test the wiring, isolating components until you find the problem.
