Bose Redline day in and day out, twice on Sunday. Spectrum RS232's are "Flea Market" quality speakers. If you really want to spend money on speakers go to a "Boutique"! I hope this is helpful.
The Bose speakers with the cubes and bass module are all interconnected with a proprietary cable available from Bose, if lost you get a replacement by called 1-800-444-BOSE.
When you connect the speakers all wires run from the receiver to the base module first, then out to each of the speakers. All terminals on the bass module are labeled.
The Bose cubes are all identical and can be used in the front or back positions.
Try to keep them at ear level or aimed at the listening position for best sound.
You can make a serial cable for it. All you need is a 15-pin d-type female connector and a bunch of speaker wire. Solder the speaker wire as shown in my diagram.
Hi, sorry but that may confuse your Lifestyle system DSP board since they were programmed to set equalisation parameters specifically forthe signle cube speakers. But still if your insisting and do get hold of the double shot satellites, you may use them and probably do an ADAPTIQ calibration to reset the equalisation curve of he system with respect to the new doulbeshot satellites you have installed. Though any problem that may arrise in doing so may void your warranty.
try a music specialty store or radio shack if you want to only replace the small speakers inside the cubes. If you want to replace the whole cube, there are others out there. Look on ebay and or amazon I think the brand is JA Audio. A knock off of the bose cubes that can be used as stand alone speakers without the module.
You probably can do it as long as the speakers there now are 8 ohm speakers and you must use the bose bass module with the cubes because the crossover is built into the bass module for the cubes to work. If you just wire up the cubes you will mess the cubes up and they want sound right at all. The cubes are no good without their bass module in other words. Hope this helps.
any pre-out should work. i believe the bose have a rca jack connector for attaching to the receiver. look at the new receiver connection diagram. any output that is rca designed for use by a recording device will send a signal that the 901's can see. always check the manual on both before connecting for any precautions. good luck mark
