Printer unable to clean

MFC 210c message "unable to clean" then "see troubleshooting and routine maintenance chapter in user manual"
User manual says to turn off the machine for a while and then turn it back on to clear message. I did that and it didn't work.
I rang a couple of repair shops. One technican said machine may need a new cleaning unit installed... Why doesn't the manual mention that?
What is the solution please?

Your "excess toner cartridge/pad" is probably full. The reason it didn't clear when you turned it off is because your printer has a "counter" that didn't get reset during the power cycle. You can manually reset this "counter", which will clear the error and allow you to print. You have to bring the printer into Service Mode and find a counter and reset it, when you reset the correct one, it will clear the error.(sorry I cannot give you definitive instructions on how to do this)

But eventually your "excess toner cartridge/pad" will NEED replacing becasue toner will spill out of it and into the printer. Pretty simple, it's like a big sponge.

Reset the counter and you will print. But replace the excess toner pad soon.

Problem with my printer Brother MFC-240C "Print unable 4F"

Access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds. This should put you in the maintenance mode menu. Enter 80, then scroll down with the arrow down (round) key. You'll find an entry listed as purge count. If number is over 6000, enter 2 7 8 3.

This will reset the purge count value. Then the printer will restart,
try this step by step.without missing any thing. thanks
