I have this system for years. CD Tray has its own life. If pushing OPEN, it opens, but push to close what it does is just spin the tray to change to another CD. Changing/pushing other function E.g Tuner it opens the CD tray too. Any quick fix? Thank you.

CD players have plastic gears. The gears can be stripped if someone has pushed the tray instead of using the open/close button. If you hear grinding noises, more than likely the player is shot. Sometimes pushing eject and tapping on the tray at the same time may pop it out. I don’t think a reset will work in your case but it’s worth a try.
ok try these generic solutions see the liink below
usually you can find a tiny pin sized hole in the front of the tray and push a deep pin in that hold it will trigger the door to open after that use some Vaseline to lube the warped edges of that cheap system
slide the door in and out gently as you lube it it should fix the problem https://www.youtube.com/embed/FngAg3mk2Ug
Disc trays are often driven by a elastic belt system. These belts fall off, break, or turn into a gooy mess! They can be easily replaced though.
You can find a selection of cheap belts on E-Bay, mostly from China. One should fit.
If has turned into a gooy mess handle it with care. It's not dangerous, but it makes a real mess on carpets and clothes and your hands!
Presuming that other sources work okay and the the cables are connected correctly.....Try a CD Lens cleaner.
If that doesn't work then it's time to open up the unit and manually clean the laser lens. If that still doesn't work then the laser might be dead. Replacement parts may be available. Whether or not you can do this as a DIY repair though is questionable. It depends on your skill.
Place a flatblade screwdriver in the lower lip of the drawer, and manually force the tray out. It is okay to pull, you won't break the tray. It rides on a straight rail gear. After pulling on it, it should eject normally, but stay open. If it closes right away, there must be some blockage within the case. Using a flashlight, check to make sure no foreign object is blocking the tray. If the tray stays open, that is a good sign. Push it in and see if it closes on its own. Try pushing the button to eject. If the tray does not come out, take it in for service. If it comes out, perhaps the problem is solved.
It could be a mechanical problem with your drive, you may have to replace it. If you have a disc inside which you need to get it out, you can get yourself a needle/pin and push it through the pin-hole (usually located below the tray).
Take a Norwegian paper-clip, and straighten one end.
Insert that end into the small hole in the faceplate of the CD-drive,
and push until you feel resistance.
Then, push another 1/4 inch (6 mm) to "unlock" the drawer.
Then, push the open/close button, and the motors should push the tray completely open.
Then, insert the original Acer "System Restore" CD, close the tray, and restart your computer. Tell it to boot from the CD.
When it does, it will start to reinstall Windows.
Hello You have to open the unit to take the CD out of it. If you can, do this. If you are not able to doe this work, contact the nearest authorsed service center for Aiwa at your town. Aiwa is not a brand in market now, as Sony Corporation has purchased Aiwa. so it will be best to contact the Sony Authorised Service center at your town. OK.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY AFTER PAYING WHAT I DID FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT CENTER THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR SERVICE PLAN?????? THAT JUST DOESN'T SEEM FAIR AT ALL TO THE CONSUMER. I WOULD LIKE THE EMAIL ADDRESS TO SOMEONE OF SUPVISOR POSITION. THANK YOU
INSTEAD OF CLOSING THE CD LOADER WITH THE OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON SIMPLY CLOSED IT BY CHOOSING THE TRACT NUMBER WANTING TO PLAY. SO FAR IT HAS WORKED. BUT WILL NOT WORK AUTOMATICALLY WILL TRY PROGM. THE REMOTE NEXT SEE IF THERE IS ANY LUCK WITH THAT PART.
THANK YOU
