L.G CL CODE/ERROR <br /><br />Good Day,<br /><br />Today I will explain to you how to remove the annoying CL code/error on all L.G Dishwashers & Washing Machines.<br /><br />Firstly let me explain let me state that this code is not in fact, an error code. It is actually there to tell you or warn you, that Child Lock has been activated. This feature was added because small children usually fiddle with controls on washing machines & dish washing machines. It is an easy way to lock in an operation and then be assured that it cannot be changed afterwards.<br /><br />The process usually involves you entering a method of washing (like pre-wash, extra dry, quick wash, economy wash etc), then activating child lock - and then have peace of mind that no wandering fingers will tamper with your settings...<br /><br />How to deactivate/activate Child Lock:<br /><br />Here are some examples of various L.G washer Front Panels:<br /><br /><img src="jedemeyer1_23.JPG" /><br /><img src="jedemeyer1_24.JPG" /><br /><img src="jedemeyer1_25.JPG" /><br /><img src="jedemeyer1_26.JPG" /><br /><img src="jedemeyer1_27.JPG" /><br /><img src="jedemeyer1_28.JPG" /><br /><img src="jedemeyer1_29.JPG" /><br /><br /><br />All you need to do is press these two buttons connected via a small child face icon. On certain dishwashers you would need to do this while the door is open.<br /><br /><img src="jedemeyer1_30.jpg" /><br /><br />That's it! All you need to do.<br /><br />I hope this Tip has helped you.<br /><br />Kind Regards<br />JEDEMEYER1<br /><br />* If this Tip helped you in any way, please rate it<br /><br />

How to remove child lock on Siemens d12-52

To dectivate child lock press the key with the clock symbol for 5 seconds. The child lock will deactivate.
If it still does not then you may have shifted the programme dial. Rotate the dial through each programme and try deactivating child lock in each programme setting. The child lock will deactivate only in the original setting that it was activated.

I have the 2010 Samsung Washer/Dryer 10kg and it is stuck on child lock. I can not get it off. Help?

Follow this instruction............. ACTIVATING/DEACTIVATING
If you want to activate/deactivate the Child Lock function, press the Soil Level and Signal buttons at the same time for 3 seconds.

How It Works: 1. "Child Lock" can be activated while your Washer is running. 2. Once you activate "Child Lock", all controls (except for the Power button) will be locked until you deactivate "Child Lock". 3. The Child Lock button will be lit while it is in effect. When buttons, other than the Power button, do not respond, please check if the "Child Lock" function is on.
Hope this helps u out!

Kitchen Aid Dishwasher

Hi bluepanther,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: You have a Kitchen Aid Dishwasher that has a light on saying CONTROL LOCK,of which when on you can't do any wash cycles. You tried doing canel out,but no help. What can you do to get off so can use unit?? Is there a reset button underneath that will reset unit.you are very mechanical and can pull unit apart if needed....Thanks Scott

Should not be nessessary. The lock is for keeping playfull little hands from getting into trouble. You must have inadvertently activated it. Try pressing and holding the "heated dry" button. This should deactivate the lock after about six seconds. This same procedure will reactivate it should you feel the need.

Bosch dishwasher lights turn off when running, but are on again when door opens SHV46C03UC/21 I replaced the control board with new OEM board last week, because heater relay was blown. Dishwasher now works fine and runs normal length of time. For this family of dishwashers, the buttons and red lights are on top of the door Bosch SHV46C family; full model name shown above. A thing I noticed is that the red wash indicator lights now turn off when I close the door and start DW running. When finished, no lights are on either. BUT, when I open the door at end the proper lights turn on again indicating dishes are clean and cycle that was selected. So, indicator lights are correct except they all turn off when DW running and door closed. With the original board, the indicator lights would stay on when running and I could see them. 1. Is this some change to the latest board that I just have to learn to live with? This DW was made ~19 years ago. 2. Or, is there a way I needed to program the replacement control board I installed to this specific model? Regarding #2, I'm asking this because I have read that some control boards need to be programmed to the certain Bosch model, but I'm not sure if this one needs it. I ran test mode for original and new board, and I think this new board passed because it did not show any error code with a solid indicator light, though one indicator light was flashing which I think just meant it was still in test mode until I powered it off. Thanks, Chris
