I am getting a Blue tint only on left half of screen on a Sony KD60X690E
TV came to me with no backlight problem. I fixed that and then noticed the blue tint problem. Does this sound like a T-CON issue or LED issue. I am thinking if it was an LED issue it wouldn't be straight down the center of the screen.

HI Rick. Did you replace the LED strips with new parts or used ones like sold on ebay? Did the lamps look normal when powered up with the panel out or did one or more have a blue tint? It's common for the temperature to change as the stips age from cold white like new ones are to blue to purple.
I did not change LEDs yet, I just fixed the Power supply board. It didn't make sense that the LEDs are the problem as it is exactly 50% of the screen.I did not change LEDs yet, I just fixed the Power supply board. sounds like you need a new light engine. Sony can probably get you one at no cost if make enough noise, they are aware of problems with their light engines. good luck
if you have any speakers near the screen the magnet may be causing the problem. i had a similar thing happen & when i moved the speaker the problem went away
This is most likely a defect in the optical unit (about $1500.00 part). If out of warranty probably will just have to live with it. Those op units are also hard to get.
