Some of the keys on the microwave were not working so I replaced the control board. Now the board won't respond. Once plugged in the microwave says press clear and set clock but the buttons are not responding. Could it be the fuse ? Light inside turns on and keypad is lit. Full disclosure I did set the microwave *h*a*r*d* on the counter. Too heavy for me to pick up.
SOURCE: Kenmore microwave - unresponsive keypad
Repaired the unresponsive keypad on my older Kenmore (model 721.68100): Unplug. Remove integral cover for top and sides which is held in place by 5 metal screws. The cover then slides toward the rear. Unplug two connectors to back of keypad and clean them (I used contact spray cleaner). Some of the components retain a charge even when unplugged.

Hi Shane The word hidden by asterisks was thought by Fixya to be unsuitable, but not bad enough to stop you from posting altogether. It may be important, and there is a trick. Someone just posted that a control board "looked okay to the n*a*k*e*d eye". It didn't like that word, I guessed what it was an edited it in. You can EDIT your own post to hide the word but display in *aste*risks*
