Hello, My LG (2 yr old) LED TV was in the house when it was struck by lightning. On initial troubleshooting, the Standby LED would come on, the LED on the Power Board would Blink 5 times, then repeat itself. When I try to turn the TV on, the Standby Light blinks 3 times, turns off, and then the LED on the power board turns off. After about a minute, the power board LED blinks again but Standby LED stays. I bought a new power board and it does the same thing (no change). Will changing the Main Board or the T-Con solve this? Does anyone know what the problem is?
When lightning hit chances are it also came in through the input source you were using and it damaged the main board. Unfortunately, it could have damaged the IR, main or tcon boards as well. It may make more sense to get a new TV.
Testimonial: "I've ordered a new T-Con Board and Main Board to try them out. Cost me $100 total with free returns. If those don't work then I'm out of look. I guess I'll see what happens!"
Hopefully you didn't order them from ebay...about 1 out of 3 boards sold there are defective. There are lots of people getting non working TV's that are in the trash, taking the boards out and selliing them having no idea if they're bad or good. Best place to buy parts is shopjimmy, I've ordered many many parts from them and have only had a couple times where they were bad and in both cases the packages were damaged as well.

Lightning strikes kill all the boards and components, 125.000 volts will do that!! Claim on your household insurance or take it to a repairer who has all the test equipment..
Excellent visual acuity technique!! I try to teach that procedure.
IC F6629B is probably shorted and at least one other part will
be open, possibly a zener diode,a fuse,a resistor or combo.
The service diagram would help.Be sure to use OEM first quality
parts.Let me know if you need more help.
