I have a Kitchenaid model ksrk25 that the water dispenser does not dispense water and the ice maker that was working has stopped making ice

It is rare that both sides of the water control valve go bad at the same time, but possible. I will need someone to examine the dual water control valve on rear near floor on the back of your refrigerator. Click here for a=> KSRK25FVBL00 Parts Manual Test the dual water control valve with a multi meter set for 120 VAC and place the probes into the wires that attach to the dual water control dispenser side and have someone press the water dispense control in fountain. With the dispense water pressed look for voltage on your multi-meter. Use care not to touch probes or bare wires to prevent getting shocked while testing. If you do not already have Adobe Reader on your computer click here first=> Adobe Reader X (10.1.1) You can also check the water control valve for ice maker by testing the ohm value first by removal of the front cover on ice maker and then placing the test meter probes in to the N and V opening You should get 150 to 350 ohm's of resistance. Also if your ice maker is dry and has no water then fill with tap water and then allow to freeze. If Ice drops into ice bin and then does not refill with water will point to repacing the water valve. If the clip is not below this post click here=> Broken Ice Maker Repair You also can find parts and user manuals by clicking HERE Sometimes the ice maker is the problem with the water control valve not working on the ice maker side. 2198597 Ice Maker Assembly Watching the clip is really a great way of explaining how to test ice maker and replacing water control valve if needed. Ice maker in Kitchen Aid stopped making ice

The ice maker has completely stopped producing ice Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary.

The ice maker is producing ice poorly When an ice maker is producing ice poorly--when it produces just a few cubes or none, or when the cubes are too small--it's usually because of a clogged water line or a defective water inlet valve.

First, check the water line attached to the back of the refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valve.

There's an ice- or water-dispensing problem The ice and water-dispensing system of your refrigerator is quite complex. Many components work together to provide the ice and water. Aside from a simple problem of a leaky water tube or a jammed ice chute, most other components are not user serviceable. We suggest that you contact a qualified appliance repair technician for such repairs.

My Kitchen Aid freestanding ice maker keeps going into Clean mode. How do I prevent this?

This is very likely due to a bad main electronic control board but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance. If possible use the meter and the wiring diagram to check input/output voltages looking for discrepancies between the diagram and the actual meter readings.

KitchenAid Side By Side no ice

check the ice maker, the motor module on these is real bad about the shaft snapping. take out the icemaker and remove the white cover. if you can take the round gear off then the shaft is broken you can probably find the other piece in there if it didnt fall out when you opened it up the module is easy enough to replace make sure the heater on the mold assembly is still good
