Question about Maytag Refrigerators
Happy Friday! It started with the ice maker quitting. I cleaned the coils (I have learned to do this every couple of months.) A couple days later ice was built up on back of freezer wall. We thawed it (not fully as I later found out) then next day it was not freezing and the fridge was warm.. We took freezer back wall off and thoroughly thawed it, then we checked the thermostat. We checked in another freezer and it was working. We put it all back together and hoped for the best. Next day was the worst. Had to give away most of our food. We checked the relay switch and capacitor with multimeter and they tested good. We checked the compressor and all 3 tested good. We decided it had to be the control board. I put it in about 30 hours ago and fridge has dropped from 80 to 66F and freezer down to 59. I am at a loss. There are no noises, Any suggestions? Thank you, Vickie
Try disconnecting thermistor and let run if ok replace it if no possible low on freon

Tips for a great answer:
Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.
