My Dynex TV will not respond to the side menu and I have no remote. Can I fix it?

I have a Dynex DX46Ll tv with no remote. When I attempt to use the side buttons, they don't respond or respond erratically. It does turn on and off. When I connect to a streaming source or DVD player, it will work but the volume doesn't.

Most likely one of your buttons is stuck closed and the cluster needs replacing.

I have a dynex TV without the remote control the touchpad on the side of the TV where the buttons are it won't let me power it on what can I do?

Pull the mains plug and count to exactly 50 and plug it back in. This is a sort of a reset.

All televisions need a remote. Just buy a new one. Buy it for the specific model. Nobody buys universal remotes any more.

Remove subtitles from Dynex TV DX-19E220A12. Anyone know how to do this please? Thank you.

What is the TV source (input)? Usually the captions are only controlled by the TV if your source is Antenna/Cable (using the RG-59/RG-6 cable input). If your source is a set-top box (HDMI, component or composite video), consult the documentation for that source.

If your source is set to TV, press Menu (on the remote or the side of the TV). Use the Left/Right arrows (or the Channel buttons on the TV) to select Settings and press Enter (input button on the TV). Use the Up/Down (or the volume on the TV) arrows to select Closed Captions and press Enter. The highlighted menu item should be CC Mode. Use the Left/Right arrows to choose Off. Press Enter to save the setting. Then press Menu to change another setting or Exit to leave the on-screen menu. See page 31 of the user manual available from ManualsLib here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/445548/Dynex-Dx-19e220a12.html . The current link to the page is https://www.manualslib.com/manual/445548/Dynex-Dx-19e220a12.html?page=35#manual .

Some set-top boxes will have a caption control button on the remote control. Others have more difficult steps. On my IPTV box, I have to press Menu, select Settings, then enter a pass code provided by my provider. Then I enter the Hardware settings and find the closed captions menu under Audio Settings. On an old Dish receiver, the caption controls depended on the system mode. Since the receiver could serve a primary and secondary TV, captions could be viewed on the primary set or both. They could only be changed at the primary TV.

I hope this helps.

I have no remote for tv and picture I get is not full screen. How do I use menu to get full screen picture?

Comcast remotes generally do not allow you to use the menu option for your TV. Check the Dynex website by entering your model number to find the manual for your tv.

You can get a universal remote either on-line or at an electronics store. Dynex is Best Buy's store brand. You can also see if they can get a Dynex remote for you.

Dynex Flat Screen 22" w/DVD

When the picture goes out, try to open and access the TVs menu using the Dynex remote. if the menu fails to open up you can bet there is a problem with the backlight on the TV. Letting the TV rest and then it working again indicates heat as the source of the problem. Check to see if your still in your 1yr warranty or if you have a protection plan at best buy, the TV needs help.

If the Menu were to still open, you can blame your cable/satellite set top box.

Switch the tv to video without the remote

On some Dynex TVs, there are control buttons on the side of the TV (Volume controls, Channel controls, Menu, Input and Power). Just press the Input button until you get to the correct source.
http://www.dynexproducts.com/products/televisions.html#support=open&active=false&pageNumber=1&subcategoryId=31-to-40&resultsPerPage=all
will let you find your model and get a copy of the manual to check where those buttons are on your TV.

I hope this helps.
