That would make it 'spot less' wouldn't it? :>D

It seems to be a known issue with a struck trigger. Take a look at the videos.

Hi there,

Just a quick clarification please. Will the water not spray in both the attachment hose as well as the floor part? Or does it spray in one or the other. You suspect that it may have a clogged line, is the machine doing anything in particular that makes you think a clog?

Thanks,
CJ

Water leaks out under the unit when using the upholstery attachment?

You may wish to check and see if the leak is where the small water supply hose is plugged in to the cleaner base. That connecction supplies water from the product, to the spray end on the upholstery hose.

Hoover F5858-910 doesn't spray water

Hello dc42 & osuguy101. I suggest using a cleaning solution, 50/50 vinager/water, in the fluid tank to clean the ports. #2 Unit may have a fluid pump problem. Please update me on results.

Hoover SteamVac Model F5887-920 - hand attachment won't spray

I have a model I got in 2001. I found that the water sprayer on the hand tool is driven by a little turbine that relies on suction from the main vacuum motor. I eventually found that the spindle inside the turbine had separated and hence the hand-tool wouldn't spray. I glued it together but that only fixed the problem until it broke again. I am going to buy another (about $23).

Hoover cleaner model f5865-900

There is no belt, either the turbine part #43191003, or the brush block, the shaft that goes up into the turbine broke off part #48437022. The turbine is what drives the brushes.
