F04 actually just means the mechanism locks during unload. The load motor can indeed cause this, but it can be working fine, but the timing might be out. This could be something to do with the mechanical parts of the mechanism. You should examine it for broken or worn plastic parts.
I think that code might mean that the mechanism is getting stuck as it tries to unload the tape. Look around for signs of damage and examine the Loading Motor.
You have a K Mech model. F04 is the code for "Mech locks during unloading". The cause of this is the Load Motor Timing.
You can get service information for the K-Mech from service manual site ESI. It was free when I download it last. Also it gives instructions on how to get trapped tapes out!

when the loading mechanism have a trouble and did not thread the tape properly , the eject mode commands primarily coz the tape in sensor activated properly
