Water found in deli drawer of refrigerator.

Model PFSF6PKX GE Profile is a french door refrigerator with bottom freezer. The refrigerator section has a slide-out deli drawer. I had packages of cheese and lunch meats in there and when I took one out today, it was wet. I found about 1/4" of water throughout the bottom of the drawer-- not just a little "moisture". I pulled out the drawer and poured the water into the sink. What could be causing this?

If it is okay when you go to bed and soaking wet in the morning, your defrost drain is blocked.

Testimonial: "Thank you for the quick reply. We were not able to remove the interior back panel (as shown in the video) without risking breaking off the foam insulation. The unit is nearly 14 years old (it came with the condo we bought 6 months ago) and is known to have persistent problems with the defrost drain. Fortunately it is still keeping food cold for now but we will likely replace it soon."

Pull the fridge out and look on the back. You often find a U-Bend drain and that is the one that blocks. It has a pipe down to it and one under it was goes to the evaporation pan on top of the compressor.

Ice under the deli drawer

it could be that u have a leak.. sometimes this happens when to much water is delivered to the ice tray and it overflows a little leaking into fridge. if that is happening then u most likely have a problem with the water inlet valve at the back of fridge, u can buy the part on line at appliancepros.com. good luck

Water leaking into bottom of refrigerator section

Make sure you dry everything in the freezer when you have the door open and remove ice. It won't be a leak it will simply be the warm air inside the freezer that has turned into condensation. Double check the seal around the door to see if it curled up as that could be letting warm in and cold out giving same results.

Your model must also have an evaporator on the top section because if the fresh food section deli has water below the trays you either have a door seal leak allowing moisture in or the fresh food section evaporator drain is also blocked. I really think your defrost drain is blocked and now everytime your refrigerator goes into defrost the condensate remains inside your refrigerator. Click Here=> Leaking Refrigerators Just What may Be Happening and read that page and then click here=> Leaking Refrigerators Read over all of the different ways leaks happenn and if this solution is helpful please rate the solution because I need all the rate's I can get. I am continually getting a frozen sheet of ice beneath the deli drawer

Hi this is your water tank leaking due to it freezing from too low of temperatures, this particular model, had problems with damper assembly leaking, you will need to change out the water tank, but before you do that you need to fix the temperature problem, which requires adjusting or replacing the damper assembly in the back of the refrigerator at the bottom, You can install a bigger gasket or the new damper comes with one. If you need futher assistance let me know.

Reset Filter Indicator Light is on

Look for your model number from the sticker inside the fresh foods section of the refrigerator, usually on the liner near the door opening. Now, go to http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/literature/ to download a use and care manual for your model, as the reset procedure may vary by model. The filter is usually located at the very back right upper side of the fresh foods compartment, but again, it may vary by model.
