Pioneer plasma won't turn on

13 year old Pioneer PDP-5020FD was moved to basement to use for watching dvds but now won't turn on. I can see a red light through the grill in the back when I hit the standby button or the power button on the remote. But no red or blue light on the front indicating it is on.

This model TV had issues with the Y main board, in some cases that will damage the power supply, your going to need some voltage readings to see what's going on. Unplug the cables going to the X and Y boards and see if you get normal power supply voltages, I don't think you will since your not getting standby light.

There are possibly two issues here.
The PDP screen requires the tuner box to work.
Or
The power supply has a few daughter boards that can fail on the main power supply.

How do i connect head phones to pioneer pdp 5071pu TV

This model has no headphone out put. In the rear panel there are two monitor audio outputs which could drive headphones, but I think the volume output to a possible monitor matches the tv loudspeaker output, and may not turn off the audio separately.

PIONEER TV RED LIGHTS

Hi Miquel.

If the unit does not start but stays in standby with the red light on, then the TV is in forced standby mode because an internal problem has been detected.

Try disconnecting power cord for ten minutes. If that does not help, then the TV must be tested and repaired.

Regards.

No power to tv

If there is no power to tv, remove rear panel and check the fuse. If the fuse is good, the power supply will need to be replaced

I'm seeing a white blinking lines either on the bottom or top of the screen, depends on the channgel. I'm using At&T u-Verse service. My question is it my Plasma which is two years old or could be At&T?

If it's a horizontal line then its the TV service you are using. This also happens with cablevision and Verison FIOS services. You might be able to look into your menu settings on the TV and adjust this.

Pioneer media receiver won t turn on

If the light on the media reciever doesn't come on then the power supply in that needs to be replaced by a service tech. If you disconnect the 2 cables from the media reciever and the panel and then try to turn on the panel it should light with red and green squares for a few seconds but will turn off as it needs the media reciever to be connected.

My brandnew Pioneer PDP-5020FD won't turn on.

Check page 9 of this document:

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Home/PDP-5020FD_OperatingInstructions0610.pdf

You will see that there is a power button on the bottom right corner of the back of the unit (item 25). Turn the unit on using that first.
