Buzzing is nearly always caused by badly terminated wires in the coax plugs or the gain is set too high.

Verizon signal booster plugged into my router, router got wet/shut off. I want to bypass it but the signal booster doesn't seem to be operating right. Is it possible fried through the ethernet cable?
The signal booster cannot operate without a good, working internet connection. Until the router is replaced, the booster will not work.

It sounds like the relay is bad. It should be located in the fuse box. Replace and see if works.

I just bought a Singstar bundle but the mics provide a constant buzzing noise when activated. I've tried different usb hubs and blowing on the ports but didnt work. It is only when the mic's are activated...
We've had the issue since PS3 purchase. I read on another forum today about having plugged the PS3 in the same power extension block as the TV causing the issue. Though this was not the cause of our buzzing on the PS3, it lead me to the fiind the cause of my buzzing noise problem . The issue is caused by use of Power over mains ethernet adapters, in my case these are used to connect my BT Vision unit to the internet. As soon as the unit makes a data connection to it's master unit, the humming starts! We are just going to have to power the nearest adapter off when we wish to make use of the MICs on the PS3!

This is a Switchmode transformer, a Choke, "Buzzing" this is happening because something is "Ringing" and causing the windings to vibrate and thus produce an audible signal, this usually happens prior to a unit faulting and is caused by too much current, or the incorrect oscillation frequency, overloading it, and it makes a noise due to it. You need to get this attended to, as it may, fail, and cause a fire or an explosion, or both.

If the installation is as bad by Foxtel as mine was, that is your problem. In my case a loop was created when the filter was left loose in the junction box which was resting against signal booster. Find the point where your Foxtel enters your property. Open the junction box. Check that none of the components are touching each other.

WHEN EQUALIZER IS ON LOW GRADE BUZZING/HISSING HEARD.
Have you isolated the problem to the equalizer only? By that, I mean remove it from the signal chain and bypass it completely. That's the first thing.Does the system make noise without it in? If dead quiet when removed then you go to step two.
If the noise returns when the EQ is reconnected, you should eliminate crappy or broken cables, connectors etc. Replace with a known good working set. Still there? Buzzing infers either a ground issue or some kind of power supply problem, only if the previous stuff is eliminated. Do this first, then ask again.
