Fisher and Paykel front loader grinding noise

There could be a few possible reasons for the grinding noise in your Fisher and Paykel front loader washing machine. Here are a few things to check:
  1. Check the drum paddles: If the drum paddles are worn or broken, they can create a grinding noise during the wash cycle. Check to see if any of the paddles are loose or damaged.
  2. Check the drum bearings: The drum bearings are responsible for supporting the drum and allowing it to spin smoothly. If they are worn or damaged, they can cause a grinding noise. To check the bearings, try spinning the drum by hand. If it makes a grinding noise or feels rough, the bearings may need to be replaced.
  3. Check the drive belt: If the drive belt is loose or worn, it can cause a grinding noise. Check the belt for any signs of wear or damage, and make sure it is properly tensioned.
  4. Check the motor: A faulty motor can sometimes cause a grinding noise. If you suspect the motor is the problem, it's best to call a professional for assistance.
If none of these solutions fix the problem, it's best to call a professional to diagnose and repair the issue.

Fisher Paykel washer makes a screching noise

Turn the washer over and see if this model uses a belt to drive the transmission for the washer, if so replace it, I will bet it does, if not the transmission is defective.

Screeching noise during operation of machine

If it only screeches when the drain pump is running you can spray some crc or wd40 in to the bearing on the drain pump. That usually helps. You will have to turn power off at wall, tip machine back against a wall and get at the pump underneath on the right side at the front.

Machine will not spin or drain water.

I have a problem with my MW512AU. Sometimes it drains after wash cycle, but sometimes it sticks when it goes to spin, doesn't get up to speed, water comes on for about 10 seconds and shuts off, and it tries to spin again. If I hit the wash progress switch it goes directly to final spin and works ok. I then have to run a 2nd wash cycle to rinse the clothes. I also noticed a buzzing sound when I turn on the power point, which lasts about 3 seconds before stopping. It will come back on every 3-4 minutes for 30 seconds. This is with the machine power switch off. It powers on normally.

Fisher and Paykel clicking sound

it sounds like the bearings are going out as it spins faster the noise quietens down because the bearings are more spread out and as it slows they fall lower leaving an area that it causing "friction" of a kind

When filling with the side fill pump makes loud screeching noise

Hi Tom. if the noise is a loud SCREECH that almost sounds like a wounded bird, you need to replace the water pump. The part is easy to replace with no tools and you can get one from Fisher Paykel Parts:

Washing machine makes buzzing noise

Check the water pump for an obstruction in the chamber area, your pump may be sticking and that will cause the buzzing sound. The water pump runs during the fill portion of the cycle on several of the selected wash cycles to recirculate the water.
