My Grundig S350, Receives and give audio on AM and FM broadcast, but no audio when selected to SW.

The picture shows an S350 -- if your model looks like that but with a different designation this fix may still work:
Look above the gain knob (bottom right) and then above the Tuning fast -- slow lettering. You should see a reset hole. Use a paper clip to reset the radio.

You need to know the broadcast frequencies (or wavwlengths) and the times at which BBC is broadcasting towards you part of the world. With frequency in hand tune in to it at the time BBC is broadcasting towards your location. There is a book which is published annualy. The title of the book is World Radio Handbook or some such thing.

When you turn on the radio or select a wave band the display shows the last frequency you tuned in. That gives you 3 frequencies: One for the AM nd, one for the FM band (and maybe 3 for SW.
That does not look like much but there is nothing you can do about it. Sorry. It does not have Autamatic Tuning System, nor memory locations to store favorites stations. The portable Grundig/Eton such as the G5, G3, G8 have a plethora of memory locations and ATS.

It's lowest operating frequency should be 100 kHz, unless it has been altered. What you would hear below 100 kHz is a mystery.

Strange. How can it, since that Radio does not have an Automatic Tuning System. To tune in to any frequency you have to turn one of two knobs. Are you sure about the Model Number?

Anything could happen in a fall, no telling what needs attention, could be a bad battery connection a cracked circuit board. If it is under warranty send it in if not a good technician is needed.

The radio is analog with a digital display. Mine displays off all the time, you can try turning the other switches on it just slightly. Just move them a tiny amount. This seems to correct my problems. Heat is also another factor with these things, they drift all over the place.
