How to reset HP DesignJet 750 plotter factory setting

The Hp 4500/20 user manual is available for down;load from the HP website and offers tips and tricks on plotter usage- very handy to have,
like I say Its FREE and easy to DOWNLOAD.

The memory is located on the formatter assembly, which is in the rear of the plotter, LH side by the JetDirect Card. (behind a removeable cover beside the paper roll)

check the media you have selected. if you have the wrong media selected, the cutter will not work.

When you load the paper, the carriage edge detector measures exactly where the right edge of the paper is located. Then the paper is rolled forward and the edge is measured again. If there is a difference in the measurements, the printer assumes the paper is not loaded squarely and rejects the paper. After you load the paper and the printer asks you to align the paper, take your time, release the paper with the release lever, and line up the right edge of the paper with the right edge of the paper roll. You might have to do it more than once to get it to load. Some plotters are very sensitive and others are more forgiving.

one of the printheads is bad.....check the error code again,because 060308 does not exist in hp designjet 1055cm plotter.

***try to clean sensors: maybe it's dust on them.

Then if you are running latest Windows versions, you'll need a driver. Hp has dicontinued your plotter.

This is a common problem on the 500 range, not so common on the 1050. A quick way around the problem (using the parallel port only) is to load the HP Designjet 750c drivers. Send the drawing to the 750 using memory in computer option and it WILL print.

my hp 450c plotter works properly in vista. First I' ve tried unsuccesfully to add new printer through windows menu. Then through Autocad menu (plotter manager) I added the specific plotter.

the plotter measures the media automatically. There is no size setting,only type of media.If you want to print on 8.5x 11 only a few times,load a sheet to print on by simply lifting the cover an aligning the sheet on the blue lines ,on the right side.If you plot a lot,I suggest get a 11" x 150' roll.
