I have an MG 3650s canon printer and it has started to print vertical lines that are sort of zig-zag. I have done both the automatic no change and manual head alignment a little better but not perfect yet . The slight offset of print is enough for the Post Office to fail to read the QR/Bar Codes it prints out.
Do I need to keep doing a manual alignment until all is ok or is there something else to try ?
Thanks
Brian.

I have the exact same issue with my Canon Pixma MG3650 Series, It will not print a straight line at all its doing zig-zags all the way down the paper it's crazy I recommend you print this picture below to make sure that your printer is not faulty
If it prints it Wonky or anything I recommend you open your cartridge tray & use a tissue to wipe off excess ink.
Do you mean that you have paper that are wrinkled in zig-zag? If yes, then you have three possible problems: 1) moisture on paper - in cass flip paper, upside down, and then see, if its ok change paper. 2) bad pressure between pressure and fixing roller 3) worn out pressure roller
you need to run the nozzle deep cleaning utility, nozzle check and alignment procedure under the printer properties maintenance tab.
Please rate this solution. Thanks.
the two vertical lines with the zig zag are your traction control lights, turn your traction control on and off and see if that helps , depending on where and what you hit it may have damaged something
If it is a horizontal line is straite or zig zag, if it is straite then problem in your vertical section, please check the supply of vertical section or output ic of vertical, if it is zig zag line then it could be dry solder in the yoke connector or vertical yoke open, please let me know the vertical ic no.
