How do I create disc for Acer aspire 5560 notebook they recovery disc

Notebook is stuck on Acer logo screen then keeps restarting boot looping over and over can't get to boot menu windows can't log in

  • Anonymous Dec 10, 2021

Christim. great question. on very old laptop .notebooks Acer. 2006 , 15 years old today, junk really.
no full model # told just simple series #

1: lost the factory INSTALL disks?, sure.
2: way2 is the make your own disks day1 new and did not or lost those. (per your manual)
3: and last D2D way per your manual, and only works if opted new, and hdd not bad.

to do step3, we must first see if the HDD is bad, we test it.
then if not bad (smart bad) then we look for the D2D partition on the HDD to be sure it is there.!!!!
after all very old PCs like this can be on there 2nd HDD, now, and D2D image is long long gone.

the manual covers all that, if you can read it.
MS does not support this PC now, they sell no XP disks sense 2014
    XP is a virus magnet
MS does not sell vista nor W7 for this PC now nor do newer run here. ever. on T2300 cpu
    leaving what:
    the trash barrel
or load LINUX on it and be happy for free.

your RTC cmos coin cell is dead this old and can not be ignored (like car with 4 flat tires same)
do you run old w7 now, ? not told yet,we can not guess what is there nor your intents now or future,

this PC comes on lots of models 5560 and 5560G and more. windows 7 only support seems it.... ask them.
    https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/su...

    first
1: ask them for support disks.
2: read your free manual, under recovery and D2D.

we have no disks here nor are we acer.com
they do have disk recovery web page, google finds that easy.

the HDD is maybe bad, and no new OS of any kind runs on any bad hDD, it will never happen. we test it first.

Hi
How to reinstall the Operating system on your computer

Select models, with Microsoft Windows, have the ability to have the Operating System reinstalled from a hidden partition built into the computer.
Note: During the process, all data stored on your computer will be overwritten. This means all your files, such as email and photos, will be erased. Therefore, we recommend making a backup of all personal data before starting the recovery process.
To start the system recovery:
1.Restart the computer.
2.When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the Alt and F10 keys repeatedly.
3.If you are prompted with a Microsoft Windows boot screen, press the Enter key.
4.After the system recovery application has loaded, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System.
If the ability to reinstall from the previous method is not available or fails, recovery of the Operating System will need to be from Recovery Media. If you do not have a set of Acer Recovery Media, you may purchase the set online from the Acer Recovery Media Order Form..
Note: If your computer does not have an internal optical disc drive, an external optical disc drive will be required in order to recover the Operating System using Acer Recovery Media.
1.Restart the computer.
2.When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the F12 key repeatedly to enter the computer's Boot Menu.
3.Press the CD-ROM drive eject button and insert the disc labeled System CD.
4.Close the CD-ROM tray.
5.Refer to on screen instructions to select either CDROM or USB CDROM.
6.The computer will boot from the Acer Recovery Media
7.When prompted for the Recovery CD, remove the System CD and insert the Recovery CD.

Note: If there are multiple Recovery CDs, please insert the first of the Recovery CDs.

8.After the system recovery application has loaded, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System.
Note: if your computer is unable to run the Acer Recovery process, or errors occur during recovery, please contact Acer support.

the manual says clear as day D2D is an option new, (not on all PCs sold that series)
the HDD must be good and I bet it is not this old 15 years later, how can it be good that old.
and must be good HDD and the recover partition present and intact and more more rule IF IS THERE, must not be a clone of other HDD replaced long ago, as most are. (MS does not allow clones of this image, ever.
get your head around 15 years old.

  • Anonymous Dec 10, 2021

yes call them and ask for the install media,. they have some , but I bet you not 15 years old.
    no way ever that old.

    here it is
    https://store.acer.com/en-us/extended/re...

ask them and cry at 15 years, old. nobody in the business does PC that old. after 10 maybe.

Acer aspire 5050 keeps looping the acer screen and shuts down

If the hard drive tested out ok (?) then I would burn a copy of memtest (free just google it) boot from it and test the memory. I would suggest though that the issue is the hard drive or possibly motherboard

I have 1recovery **** named aspire 5610 dvd2 should i have a dvd1 disk also

go to http://www.sysresccd.org/Download
download the iso and burn it to a cd.
boot your computer with it
read the explanations coming up on the screen and when you see that you can choose how to start, type "wizard"
choose the top choice (auto)
when it starts right click on the desktop and start GPARTED.
one of the discs will be marked as "boot"
right click the disc called "recovery" (or the one that is not marked as boot).
choose manage flags
set it to Boot.
press apply on top (not always needed tho)
in the left picture (the one that opened from the start)
type reboot
remove the cd when you see the acer logo again.
the acer recovery manger should start.
