About one month ago, I recently replaced a new toner and maintenance kit. How can I reset the 'Replace MK' message on my Kyocera FS 1035 MFP? The message just started showing up on the screen today. I tried logging in to System settings to restart the machine, turned unit Off/On and even reseated the drum/developer. Nothing seems to work.
I have been able to reset the counter using the answer below: 'Resetting for replaced MK kyocera fs 1135'.
1. typing in the codes 1087 1087 251
2. then going to menu item to reset the maintenance counter

Typically you will need to replace the waste toner box. There is usually a difficult to access part of the bottle that is used by an optic sensor to tell when the box is full. Plus toner is very fine and you do not want it getting into the air. Toner will pass through the filter of most vacuums and go back into the air.
press numeric keys 1087 1087 , then 251

It means the page count has triggered this message.
You _should_ get a maintenance kit.
But if you simply can't take the time/money, you'll find a new menu item in the menus after service. the new item is 'maintenance', get to there and press enter. (May need to press enter twice), the menu item, flashing light, and install MK message will all disappear.
Its because you've gone past a certain number of pages printed.
Its asking you to install a new Media Kit
To reset the message -
1 Press the MENU key. 2 Press the or key repeatedly until Life Counters > appears. 3 Press the > key. 4 Press the or key repeatedly until >New Toner Installed. appears 5 Press the ENTER key. A question mark (?) appears. 6 Press the ENTER key. The toner counter is reset. The message display returns to Ready.
You have done more than 300,000 pages. I wouldnt waste your money on a Maint Kit, just stretch it out by doing the following.
Press Menu/Ok (Main menu) Go into [>>Service] Then press the right arrow. Then find [>> Maintenance] Press the ok key, then it will show [>> Maintenance?] Press the ok key twice, and it will reset all the counts on your consumable components (Drum, Developer, Transfer Roller, ETC)
Hi Did you run up the developer unit? Menu button down to Other then to Service and press enter on developer and switch off and turn on will run for a while. In the service menu after you run up the dev unit you may have a option in there to press enter on the MK Symbol.
