Hi Jane, water in the bottom of the dishwasher results from clogs in the filter or in the drain hose. Please make sure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before cleaning the filter! If your dishwasher is displaying an error code please check the meaning of the error message.

Good luck

Bosch Series 6 Tap error symbol lit but pump and drain hose are fine. What can it be?

That normally signifies a leak. Under the machine there is a plastic pan with a sensor in it. However Bosch have a different idea.

Clogged Bosch SHU 9920 dishwasher

-Sounds like the pump is not working properly or the drain line you connect to sink directly instead to the breath cap before to the sink. Or the breath cap locate too low.
-Make sure the breath cap is mount higher than the line to the sink. (Or as high as possible) This is to prevent any water from the sink pour into the dishwasher.

Good luck

I have a five years old kitchenaid dishwasher that leaves water the in the bottom sometimes. I have replaced the drain pump and checked the drain hose for blockage but I still have the same problem of...

Propably you have leak from the main pump impeller seal.See the video below. It helped me to fix yesterday same problem.

If you open the bottom of the dishwasher you can see the leak.It leaves calcium at the base of the pump.

Our dishwasher won't drain completely. I ran it through a regular cycle but it was left with water in the bottom.

Have you tried canceling the cycle? To cancel, turn the on/off switch to on, then press and hold for three seconds the two buttons labeled "Cancel Drain". Keep the door closed for the next minute so that the dishwasher can complete the cycle. During this time the pump will remove any water from the washer. Also you will notice that Bosch dishwashers always leave a little water in the system to keep the seals from drying out and going bad.
Hope this helps

I have a Bosch SHE55C05UC dishwasher and it just started to not wash properly and leave water in the pan below (first time it did not drain at all.. I tried the rinse/hold cycle and got the unit to drain...

I am assuming you have checked the filter and drain sump and there are no obstructions. Have you tried taking the drain pipe out of the sink downpipe and checking if it drains directly into the sink?

I am also assuming the wash cycle is completed when you open the dishwasher.
Do you hear the drain pump running?
Post your comment after you have checked the things I mentioned.

Bosch dishwasher is not draining all the water at end of cycle. In the bottom of the dishwasher under the mesh trap there is about a cup of water remaining after each cycle.

This is normal with a Bosch. They don't really vent out when they heat, and use a type of evaporation technology to dry the dishes. Best bet is to make sure first that the filter in the bottom is clean, (the little circle thingy on the bottom, turn it a quarter turn and pull it out, run it under cool water till it's clear, then put it back in the same way.) If the water is bothering you or is beginning to make a bit of a smell in there, leave the door cracked a little after you empty the dishes out. unfortunately though, it'll always leave water in the bottom. European technology.

Bosch dishwasher she45m

Just bought a Bosch dishwasher and we were told that they have no heating mechanism to dry the dishes, which is why they are more energy efficient.  You are supposed to leave the door closed for at least one hour after the cycle is complete.  The heat that has built up inside during the wash cycle will dry the dishes.  It is also recommended to always use JetDry. If you follow this advice, the dishes will come out fine.
