WILL NOT EJECT DISC

What is the model number of your DVD player? You may try power resetting the unit and check if it helps. To power reset, turn OFF the DVD player and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn the player ON. Attempt to open the disc tray.

Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons. If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.
NOTE: This step may not apply to all models as DISC1 is not available on all DVD players.

If this does not work and if the DVD player has DISPLAY and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY+PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.

Bdp-s300 non responsive after firmware update

Please follow the troubleshooting steps and check the operation.

  1. Power on the BDP-S300 Blu-ray Disc player.
  2. Immediately after "POWER ON" is displayed on the front panel display (within one second), press the "STOP" button on the player. The disc tray opens and the player turns off automatically.

EWR20V4 How do I finalize a disc after it's recorded ?

For the EWR20V4, press Setup on the remote then select the Disc menu (with the left/right arrows) and press enter. Select Finalize (using the up/down arrows) and press enter. A confirmation window will pop up, select Yes (left/right arrows) and press enter. Note: finalization takes some space on the DVD so leave room after recording to the disc. The step will take a few minutes. Finalization is permanent except for -RW discs (rewritable) and can only be undone with same unit that finalized the dvd-rw.

The DVD recorder was made by Funai Corp for Emerson. The manual for the unit can be found here: http://www.funai-corp.com/support/manuals.aspx . I found searching for products starting EWR gave several similar models. The direct link is http://www.funai-corp.com/6pdf/om/EWR20V4.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Pioneer BDP-f1FD Disc Tray Won't open

I fixed this on my unit from a tip on AVS Forum

Unit has "Power on" msg, follow these steps:

1) Hit power button for 5 -10 sec unitl unit shuts off
2) Press open / close button unit or remote first (do not hit power button first)
3) On the third try, the disc tray opened

I had James Bond Goldfinger in the player ( not sure if this had anything to do with it), I put another Blu Ray in and it loaded fine and is playing fine, hope this works for you
