Neff pyrolytic Oven B4652

On pyrolytic setting yesterday had some food debris catch fire so stopped the oven. On restart the door would not open with a E15 error, I turned the electrics off and managed to open the door but the E15 error code along with the timer flashing is the only thing happening. Any suggestions?

My suggestion is NEVER EVER use the self cleaning feature. We see questions like yours at least 4 times a week. Locked doors, burned out elements, burnt out fans and even frazzled control boards. The temperature is just too hostile.

The oven is cleaned by heat, at temperatures above normal cooking temperatures. During the cleaning cycle the oven is heated to about 880 degrees Fahrenheit (471° C.). At this temperature, food soils inside the oven decompose, leaving behind a small amount of ash.

There are a few ideas here

But Neff says you need a Service Call.

Yes, it works just until your luck runs out. You were lucky to go that long with no issues, Props to Neff, that is impressive.

Common heating faults with Neff B1476 single oven

For all Free appliance repair videos visit our VIDEO TUTORIALS 1, If the Neff fan motor in the back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the NEFF element you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element, if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie: broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nuts from the rear of the machine.
2, If your NEFF fan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is a little more expensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heating and burning everything then you will need to replace your NEFF oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your NEFF oven is not working at all ie: no heat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

If the door is locked shut after self cleaning

- Let the over cool down - unplug at the mains and leave it unplugged for a good minute or so - reset the clock The door may well open now. It happened to me today !

I have burnt on food (sugar) in my Miele pyrolytic oven. How do I get it off? Will using the pyrolytic process just make this worse?

Ammonia works really good to remove burnt on food. For inside the oven put a small bowl of ammonia on the rack, close the oven door & let sit overnight. The fumes will work overnight.

Engineer is a solution.
The other solution is;

Switch 3 times between rotisserie and pyrolysis or bread baking setting and pyrolysis.

As acknowledgement the displays are actuated.

At each change of operating modes switch immediately stops the current test step and the next step of the test enabled. The oven light should according to the mode ON or OFF; that is, at pyrolysis OFF otherwise ON.

We had a power cut yesterday and today my neff electric oven just shut down completely. The clock has also stopped working.

if you have power to oven but the clock is not working it sounds like overvoltage has damaged the clock if clock will reset and you can set the time oven will work.

Is it a common problem for the element to catch fire? The element in the pyrolytic oven caught fire when switched on for cooking.

Lets say it is not unusual for elements to fail.
Only solution obviously, is to replace it..Hope this helps with your query.

Pyrolytic cleaning won't start. Neff B15P42.0 GB

you have to remove the shelf supports (left and right) as well as the shelves. The manual tells you about the shelves but not the supports. I only found out as someone wrote the answer on another website

Neff B4562 Pyrolytic Cleaning Not Working

You need to remove the rack side supports too. Its not clear in the book as it just says shelves and racks but everything needs to come out the oven.
