Uniden scanner won't unlock channels - Uniden Radio Communications

Look to see on the keyboard that has a button that looks like a key with a
border around that button. That'll be you L/O button place the scanner on
Manual then keep pressing Manual for each channel. If you see the letters
L/O << looks like that press the lock out key the those letters "L/O" Should
Disapear.. Keep doing those steps untill all channels a clear.. I say this
because this is how my Uniden 30 channel hand held works..
Yours may work diffrent? Hopefully it works the same.

Locking/Unlocking Banks When you are scanning conventional banks, the scanner displays the digit corresponding to all unlocked banks. To lock out a bank so that the scanner does not scan its channels, press the letter that corresponds to the bank. The bank's letter disappears from the display. To unlock locked-out banks, simply press that bank's letter again. The bank's letter appears on the display and the scanner includes that bank when scanning. Note: You cannot lock out all banks. One bank must be unlocked at all times. Locking/Unlocking Channels To lock out a channel so that the scanner does not stop on it while scanning, press L/O when the scanner is stopped on that channel, or manually select the channel and press L/O. To unlock the channel, manually select it and press L/O again.

Sorry, but there is no way to "unlock" or modify the frequency coverage of the BC92XLT or any other recently-manufactured scanner. Your only option is to purchase a scanner designed to include the frequency range that you are after. To unlock a channel, power the scanner ON, then press MAN, the channel number, MAN again, and then L/O. Lockout will also show if no frequency is programmed into a channel, and programming a frequency will automatically release the lockout.

Here's your manual. Page 31 explains how to unlock a programmed channel, hope this helps.

If all your channels are locked out, press and hold the l/o button for at least 2 seconds, you'll hear 2 beeps and that should unlock them.

Channels have to be programmed with a frequency before the scanner will allow them to be unlocked. The L/O indicator should automatically turn off once a frequency is in memory.

To unlock a channel, press 'manual' & keep pressing it until you reach the channel that's locked out, then press 'L/O'. Repeat until all channels are unlocked.

To program, press 'manual' until you get to the first "empty" channel, then enter the desired frequency using the keypad, then press 'E'. Repeat as needed.

Turn off power, hold down the 2, 9 & L/O buttons while turning the power back on.
