Once a document prints, it stays in the print spool as printing, thus not letting anymore documents print. Have to reboot the computer to get it to clear out.

While attempting print a document, Dell All-In-One 948 InkJet Printer printed a document that was not opened. How can that happen? I haven't tried anything to fix it because I don't know where to...

Most likely, this document was already in the print queue and never got printed. If that's the case, open notepad, enter the following commands : net stop spooler
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.shd
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.spl
net start spooler

Save this to your desktop as DeletePrintJob.cmd, run as administrator (right click on it, select run as administrator), then reboot your pc/powercycle the printer. This should resolve your issue. If not, please let me know.

Xerox 4150xf Workcentre is not working. It seems

OK. I was curious because it is an XF machine. F denoting a fax.
Try in the print queue on the pc to spool the document first and then print to see if that helps.
I don't have access to the xerox documents (EDOCS) anymore but I would look at the memory. If you have one spare, swap it out to see if that helps.

When printing documents from my PC documents always sent to queue

Go to control panel, printers. Set your defaults there. You probably have spooling enabled. Uncheck it and your print job will go to the printer, rather than to spooling. Spooling is like rolling the print job up on a spool until the whole thing is processed, then unwinding it to the printer.

Hp deskjet F340 Al-in-one... will not print entire document

check your print driver and see if it is set to spool the print job or to print as it gets it... if it is set to print as it gets... you could end up in a situation where the driver is saying lets go... I am working hard and the hp is saying I don't understand everything you are sending please slow down... here is how you set the print driver to spool... go to printers.... right click on your printer... left click properties... left click advanced and set it to print after last page has spooled and then apply and ok...

if that doesn't help then try this link http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documentSubCategory?tmp_rule=35836&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=1128309&lang=en

WHEN I HIT PRINT NOTHING COME OUT BUT WHEN I SHUT DOWN THEN I START IT UP AGAIN THE PRINT COME OUT WHY

check and make sure the printer is "online" - look under the printers and scanners applet
Make sure spooling is active
This sounds like the print buffer is not active so the print job is being written to your hard drive instaed of the printer buffer.
Send the document to the printer then double click on the print manager icon in the status area of the screen ( bottom right hand corner) you should see the document in the list and if there is a problem, scroll along to the right to read what is happening with the document.
If this list is full, cancel all documents and clear this list.
Then reboot your machine to clear the printer buffer and the printer should not print anything on reboot.
Then print the document again but only once, then recheck print managers list.
Most printing issues can be seen here in print manager..

let me know if this helps

Deleting-S error HELP

Try to stop and restart the print spooler (right click on My Computer and then select Manage. At the bottom of the Computer Management window, expand Services and Applications. Click on Services, and on the right side of the window look for Print Spooler. Right click on it and select restart). Even if this procedure does not fix your OADP file problem, consider it in the future and avoid restarting the computer every time you want to get rid of spooling printing documents.

Unable to stop printer from printing documents

The actual folder in Windows where spooled documents are stored just before printing is: C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\PRINTERS. I?ve never had print jobs hanging around after the print queue has been deleted but if you clear out anything in this folder that should take care of it. Let us know how things work out and please don?t forget to rate this posting.
