In a normal call, it will carry on ringing until you answer. If you have a message service set by your teleco, there is often a setting in messaging set up voice prompts, but they are all slightly different. You get to them by accessing voicemail. On mine it say option 5 says "to alter your voice messaging system, press 5'. Contact your telco, they may be able to do it for you.

The number of seconds must one of these numbers: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30

When calling my friend ,rings once then diconnects. His is the only # this happens with. This has been ongoing for about 2 years. My phone is a flip phone Lg. ,about 2 years old.

That friend must have your number blocked, that is the only thing that can do this. This is a friend or maybe an old fling?

LG flip phone won't ring, set on vibrate/ring and volume all the way up

My LG flip phone volume is all the way up. I've tried star key pound key volume keys even tried it during playing sounds and no luck. It has keypad volume but no ringtone or sound volume whatsoever. I've reset my phone and also dialed *228 but no luck yet. Any ideas?

I own LG VX8360 and can't figure out hoe to turn ringer on. Can you help me?

To restore the ringer it will depend on what mode your phone is in:

Vibrate Mode:
Sets the phone to vibrate instead of ring.

To set Vibrate Mode, with the flip open, press and hold the # key .

To return to Normal Mode, press and hold the # key again.

Sounds Off Mode:
Quickly deactivate your phone's sounds when you're in a place where phone sounds would be disruptive.

From standby mode with the flip open, press and hold the lower side volume key for 3 seconds. To return
to normal sounds mode, press and hold the upper side key.

Airplane Mode:
Turning on Airplane Mode will disable all wireless communications.

1) With the flip open, press the Menu key.
2) Use the Directional Key (top center of phone) to scroll to 'Settings and Tools'.
3) Press the 6 key for Phone Settings.
4) Press the 1 key for Airplane Mode.
5) Use the Directional Key to highlight a setting, then press OK.

this is beause the dialling tone was muted. Go to your phone setting and increasee the volume of your key pad tone.

Get a different phone from a company other than LG. Also get a different carrier if you are using verizon. Neither company actually wants us to know how to change the number of rings. Neither company has customer service that knows how to change it as well.
