Bosch SHE68M Intermittently Won't Recirc Water During Wash Cycle
I have a Bosch SHE68M02UC/47 dishwasher. Sometimes it works fine, but sometimes it runs all the way through the cycles, but when you open it there is soap residue on the dishes near the dispenser, and the dishes are not very clean. Sometimes you have to run it a couple times before it finally runs properly.
On the times it malfunctions, I've noticed it gets through the prewash okay, but then on the main wash cycle the Recirc pump will try to start 4 or 5 times, and then silence. Then the timer will just keep ticking down until it gets to the dry cycle and drains. If I open it and close it, the drain pump will come on for a second, and then the recirc pump will try again 4 times and fail. If I open it right after, there is a fair amount of water dripping down from the upper spray arm.
I have cleaned the filters and the pump inlet.

it maybe something as simple as the door opening during the cycle - thus pausing the machine - this can happen when the machines with plastic tubs get hot - the top of the machine flexs a bit and the latch disengages and the machine stops. Next time it does it just try to push the door closed and hit start and see if it picks up where it left off. A stiffener is needed to repair the fault - but we have fixed with shims in a pinch - between the counter top and the dishwasher to minimize the flex
One of the reasons for motor not draining during normal cycle is the check valve is stuck. It is meant to return to normal during drain cycle but close during wash. I think the cancel is resetting it and letting water out.
See this discussion.
Cold water is the only type of water that fills your tub. The machine looks like it stops because it is waiting for the water heater to heat the water in your machine to a highert temperature, enough to get your dishes clean. On that model you can't say very often that your dishes don't get clean.
it is probably going to be a grimy door thermostat between the inner and outer panel. its hooked into the back of the soap dispenser. someone would have to take the outer panel off then clean wipe away the caked grime from the thermostat and put it back in its place. if this doesnt fix it then it could be a heat assembly problem or timer problem. in that case you would need an appliance tech out
I have a Bosch Dishwasher and the E-Nr is SGS4362EU/03. The machine is approximately 4 years old, in good condition and has been working very well. Suddenly, there is water remaining after it completes a 50 degrees C wash cycle. This is also evident with the pre wash cycle and the 65 degrees wash cycle.
I have checked and cleaned the filters. I have loosened the internal pump white cover (Torx T 20 screw) and checked for any physical blockage - none. I have also checked for any drainage hose kinks - none.
I have tried a series of empty washes and the machine drains the water during the wash cycles. The dishes are also have a dull colour and show show signs of not being properly rinsed during the wash cycle.
Disassembled solenoid, found plugged inline strainer (caused by water shut-down in building to replace recirc. pump) Pulled and flushed filter basket, problem solved. Solenoid must be removed to access filter which is in sol. body. I hope this can help anyone who does'nt have a tech manual or flow diagram.
