Question about Internet Computers & Internet

Sbv5220 modem??? Anybody know???

I bought this modem from ebay. I was hoping it didn't have a router in it. I wanted to know how I can get the software to use it just the dsl part of it. I'm sick of finding a few hundred wifi robbers in my modem. I saved the internet call log. I was promised by att and earthlink they would block these people off. So does this modem have a router built in? I don't want a modem with router built in. And I'm also hoping the sb6141 modem doesn't have a router built in either. These people use those cube devices and rasberry pi devices to get into my wifi.i don't like stalkers. I unplug my modem. And they drive off every time. Thanks anybody know if these modems are modems without wifi???????

first off both those modems are wired only, no wifi there, at all, and only one is connected to you ISP
    not both!
the better one is ARRIS, mine has all 32 channels enabled and paid for .(and OMG FAST)
next buy a new router, wifi (they are cheaper, due to Economies of scale,))
$27 USD gets you and AC1200 router, then turn off wifi and now you have a wired ONLY router with a working, HARDWARE FIRE WALL ! do not run lacking this firewall ever. (I warned you) grin.

AND ALL HACKING ENDS, WITH WIFI 100% DEAD, THERE CAN BE NO HACKING.
BUT i SAID, the hardware firewall must be there

a business wired only router is 70 to $100 (USD)
a AC1200 router with both channels wifi turned off , costs $27 (amazon or walmart both)

so there are your choices. simple
tell more facts and get better answers
how many PC and smart TVs or TV devices do you have.
I guess no wifi needed, . just Ethernet and 5G?

    all routers made have manual
and in those manuals the 2 check boxes to turn wifi IS THERE.

    just click disable and save
see NO MORE WIFI on any router made on earth, on YOUR setting page,
ask for help, by posting your router full model number and version off the service tag rear or bottom of all routers made, make ,model and version,
or buy new one is 10x better as it has no EXPLOITS.

wifi is safe if you learn to use WPA and good Pass word (phrase) sure is.
but not old routers most are junk. (exploited max)

learn to be informed on exploits

or update, as be the case/

routers are BAD BOYs, if old, most are. some are HORRIBLE

$27 is the cure, for sure. kick known bad to the curb, be fast. or like you said flip wifi enable to OFF

sold old routers (nasty) have this check box. allow remote, settings and access to this router, (yes/no
answer NO. and do not use simple logins to the actual routers,
    admin,1234. (do not do that)

Ok.....my internet is up and running......and im useing the SB5101 Model...but when i switch it back to my SBG900....it gets stuck on the roadrunner (internet provider) web page.....it works fine with the...

Turn the cable-modem off.
Unplug the AC poewr to the cable-modem.
Turn the router off.
Unplug the AC power.
Reconnect the AC power to both the cable-modem and the router.
Turn the router on -- this off/on sequence should "reset" the cable-modem and the router.

If the router still does not work, replace it.

If the cable-modem does not work, get RoadRunner to replace it, if they want to keep you as a paying customer.

I see that people are asking about driverss for the RCA dcm425 cable modem. I just bought a new computer, and I connected it to the my old dcm425 modem through a router and it works just fine. I didn't...

The trick about all this is that the software does not configure the computer, but the modem.
So once it has been configured through a computer then plugged to a router, any computer plugged to the said router will have access to the Internet.

The whole process of installing/configuring will happen if you replace the old modem and/or plug a new computer directly to the modem.

I am trying to connect my motorola sbv5220 to my computer and use it's wifi. The computer is asking me for the PIN number of my router but I can't find it. Where is it?

Hi.
The pin number for your router should be located on the bottom of it, on a sticker, along with serial number.

I hope this is what you are looking for, if not, please let me know, and I will help you some more.

Good luck, and have a good day !

I have been offered a Netgear N150 DGN1000 Wireless ADSL modem Router new for only £25.00 from a friend, however it has a sticker on the box that says ''For BT Connections''. I wanted to know if this...

Well this product DGN1000 is a generic router supplied by Netgear and can be used with any ADSL/DSL ISP. Please ensure that you upload the latest firmware for this router from the netgear support site and then you can use it with other ADSL/DSL ISP.
Hope this allows you to resolve the issue. If you need further assistance then let me know.
