My Everstar MPK-10CR portable 10,000 BTU's is blinkink P1 all the time, and there no no single drop of water in the collector and the down fan can't start please HElp
Just got one of these used, and also got the P1 error. Took the case off (which just involved a lot of Phillips head screwdriver turning), and found a sensor switch just to the left of the drain box inside the case. If I press on the sensor switch, the P1 error goes away, but then I get a blinking dot on the LCD display. Pressed the power button after that (while still holding the sensor switch) and it started working again. It looks like it was super-glued either originally or by a previous owner. Just needed to be re-positioned towards the top left corner where the drain pan sits. Just be careful when removing the case to not disconnect any of the wires going to the LCD display.
Make sure the level arm is also making good contct with the water bucket when you insert it. You can awlas pull the level towards you to adjust for better contact.
I have the same problem, what I have found so far is there is a float valve that is sticking. The valve is on the right side of the drain pan, when the bottom pan fills to a certian point the float lifts and opens the valve and the water is pumped into the drain pan. If the float valve is moving freely then the pump has stopped pumping. The pump will most likely be spinning but will not create suction, the pump can be snapped apart and cleaned and maybe start working again. The first thing to do is pop the bottom drain plug and let the water drain out to see if it starts working. If no water comes out anf the float moves freely then there are a couple of sensors attached to the top of the float as a safety overflow device, they could be stuck or bad. Hope this helps
