What is a measure on the RC3406

On the Black & Decker RC3406 rice cooker, how much is a measure? The cup that comes with it has markings of 1/4, 1/2 & 3/4 then there is a line that also goes around. The book says something about a measure being 2/3, I am very confused.

Not sure about that measuring cup thing. just use 1 part rice to 2 parts liquid and you'll be fine

The measuring "cup" is just that,k a standard 8-ounce cup to the rim. The markings, 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 are fractions of an 8-ounce cup.---2, 4, 6 ounces by volume. So you can use any measuring cup you have. The manual sort of implies this but it is a little obscure so I measured their cup and threw it away because it cheap plastic and ill-suited to measuring dry ingredients. By the way, the ratio for brown rice is 1 to 1-1/2.. I doesn't absorb as much water,

Where can I find the measuring cup for Black and Decker Model RC446 part #RC426-30

Using 1 cup of rice to 2 cups water does not result in perfect rice in this rice cooker. The measure cup that comes with the unit is actually 5.5 oz. measurement of dry rice and then you fill the water line accordingly. 5.5 oz of dry ingredients is equal to about 2/3 cup.

I need cooking instructions for RC3406 6 cup rice cooker and steamer

Since a steamer is a steamer, try the following suggestions:

White rice: 1 cup to 2 cups water for 45-50 minutes.
Brown rice: 1 cup to 1.5 cups water for 45-50 minutes.

Hope this helps!

How many cups of rice do you put in when your water line is at 3

hi,

Tips on cooking rice:

You estimate first how many rice you are cooking then follows how many water you will be needing to cook it.

In an average, 1 cup of rice per person (depending on the persons appetite) = 2 cups of water. Rinse first the rice about 2 - 3 times to remove unwanted stuffs then start pouring and measuring the water.

Note:

1 cup rice = 2 cups water (common ratio), but there are also type of rice that requires more water or less water. You can adjust next time the water depending on the result. If the rice is a little bit hard then add more water the next time you cook. If the result is too soft then minus the water.

Hope you can cook now a perfect rice! Bon appetite!

RICE COOKER DIDNT COME WITH MANUAL DONT KNOW HOW TO USE IT NOR HOW TO MAKE RICE WITH IT HELP PLEASE THANKS

Not sure about your model but most work the same way. Measure a small cup of rice for each person and add the same amount of water. Water should cover the rice by about three quarters of an inch. Close lid turn on and let it do it's work. When it has finished, leave it alone for about 20 minutes for the rice to steam. It will stay hot, don't worry. Then fluff up rice and serve.

I need cooking instructions for RC3406 6 cup rice cooker

I ran into the same problem locating this manual. Black and Decker has the manual for the 3 cup on their site but not the 6 cup. I did find a manual for the Rival brand version which appears to be the same thing. You can find it at the URL
