When I put my Dyson away last time into the charger, it worked great. Today when I took it out of the charger, it did not start up and the red light just blinked 32 times. Not sure why I didn't get any kind of warning of any kind that the battery was going bad. The unit is just a little over a year old!
32 blinks it's a lock status that cannot be reversed by placing the battery in the charger. It's triggered by the unbalance voltage between the cells. The battery design does not implement balancing so they are sort of destined to fail by the 32 red light blinks. If the cells are still good, there is a method to reset the lock status. One needs to open the pack, balance the cells and then re-start the pack. Hope it helps
Your Dyson may not have been connected to the charger correctly when last put away.
