Can I adjust minute hand on Atomic Clock?

My Atomic Clock runs one minute slow. Can I change that with the "Factory setting" button? Or, is there another way? I've tried unsuccessfully to manually move the minute hand. The clock was accurate when new but changed at some point. It runs just fine otherwise.

Sadly, there are many clocks designated as atomic clocks. No search yields Atomic Clock as a brand itself. Clocks and watches usually have procedures so complicated by the time you finish reading them, you can't see straight enough to tell the time. I think you need to do a google search for atomic clock but attach the brand to that plus user manual. If it is a famous brand, there might even be a YouTube video regarding adjusting it. If you don't have the instructions, it will be perplexing. Even the brand site may not offer sufficient help. https://www.amazon.com/atomic-clocks/s?k=atomic+clock&dc&ref=a9_sc_1

How do I adjust the settings on a 625-236 atomic clock

If you have a Howard-Miller 625-236 atomic clock, do you need to change the time zone only or manually set the time?

To set the time zone, press Mode (furthest left on the back of the clock) to get to the Alarm Time Mode. Then press Set (2nd from the left) to change the time zone. Then press Adjust (the middle button) to select the correct time zone. Press Mode again to exit the settings mode. To manually set the time, you need to remove the battery from the clock. Then reinsert the battery after 30+ seconds. Press and hold Set until the hour begins to flash, then press Adjust to change the time. Press and hold to quickly change the hour. Then press Set to change to the minutes and use Adjust to set the current minutes. Repeat this routine to set the seconds, month, date and year. Press Mode to exit to the Time mode.

The manual is available here: http://www.theclockdepot.com/howard-miller-625-236-techtime-operations-manual.pdf .

I hope this helps.

My Seth Thomas radio controlled clock will not reset to the proper time. I've had it for many years, and this is the 1st problem. I changed the battery, I pushed the button for Pacific time ( I'm...

Hi lufberg,

I see you need help with your radio controlled clock.

Place your Seth Thomas atomic clock face-down on a table or desk and locate a series of buttons labeled "PST," "MST," "CST" and "EST" on the back of the clock. Press the appropriate button to set the time zone.

Turn your attention to the small lithium battery-powered digital clock display on the back of your clock. With the correct time zone set, the digital display should accurately reflect the current local time.

Locate the AA battery compartment on the back of your clock. Put two new AA batteries into your clock's battery compartment.

Set the "Mode" switch on the back of your Seth Thomas atomic clock to "Run." Wait for it to adjust to the correct time. The automatic time-adjustment process can take up to 45 minutes, but is usually completed much sooner.

I have an older large wall clock - model 88100. It is 2 minutes fast. I've replaced the battery but it still runs 2 minutes fast. Always the same amount. Any ideas? With an atomic clock it should be right...

If it is a radio controlled clock and it is consistently out, then the hands need re-setting. I have hand a similar experience with my watch, so I fully understand the problem.

You can adjust the hand settings by pressing the right buttons!

If you have the instructions, then refer to the to adjust the hands. If you do not have the instruction, then go to the makers web site and look for manuals download.

    Savings time

This is more of a Clarification than a solution.
I've determined that the SS-5000 is not recognizing the changes to DST that happened in 2007.

From 1986 to 2006 this was the first Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October, but starting in 2007, it is observed from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, adding about a month to daylight saving time.

So in March the clock is still trying to keep the "earler" time and in November it's trying to keep the 'later' time.

I'm contacting HomeMedics Support to see if there's a resolution.
