Image retention, Go to Menu and I believe pic settings go to the Burnin Scrolling feature..Will run white and black in full screen, run for an hour problem huold be solved..Happened to mine and the scrolling feature got rid of it.

Plasma TV does not use backlight inverter board like the LCD flat panel does.

If the sound is still going and you can change the channels then the problem is most certainly the ysus or zsus board.

Usually they can do that, like the sides will come in a little bit. I have HD on my 50 inch plasma Samsung, and we have Time Warner Cable, but not all of our channels are like that. If all of them are like that for you, then you should go to your menu and settings to look for zoom. But if they all aren't like that and only some, then that's how the channels are.
