My Hitachi UV 60" has a redish glow in the center of the screen, everything in this glow is fuzzy. Any suggestions?

I emailed Hitachi and they sent a new light engine to my local electronics store that they do business with. All I had to pay for was the installation which was today. I did not have to pay for the part or shipping. My tv is just like new again and the red glow is gone. I did not realize how bad it had gotten. Do not call the regular customer service because they cannot or do not want to help.

ya it is the color heater or somthing like that... mine costed 950 to fix... big bucks

I have a 2 yr old Hitachi Ultravision, 55" LCD. Replaced bulb a few months ago. Worked fine for a month or so but now, after the set has been on for 10-15 mins, the picture turns reddish or greenish. Blues disappear. I have read online reports stating the color engine goes bad in Hitachi LCDs after a couple years..also read the it may be the convergence chips? Repair tech is coming out next week but I can make most repairs myself. Dont want to throw bad money at it if its a waste of time. Any ideas? How do I test the set. Thanks for input.
