Can you please answer with YES or NO because I don't know if my backlight should make contact with the metal base or not, Please. Can you please answer with YES or NO because I don't know if my backlight should make contact with the metal base or not, Please.
If the electrics make contact with the metal back, they short out! The answer is NO, you leave the backing on, and clip them in place. If the electrics make contact with the metal back, they short out! The answer is NO, you leave the backing on, and clip them in place.

Hi Henry, since the tv is not turning on to check for any video in the background then it gets a bit more complicated to pinpoint where the failure might be.
This TV has a power supply and main board combined in one board. Replacing the whole circuit board might fix it but it could also be defective LED's strips.
Chances are it's your LED backlight strips that need replacing, sometimes it's hard seeing the image with a flashlight, I'm sure it's there and you're not seeing it
The LED strips, replace all of them not just the bad ones as most likely only one is defective but if all aren't replaced you will be back where you started in a few weeks to months
Hisense only has 10 blink codes, on most brands they're helpful but not as much on Hisense, in 9 out of 10 sets it turns out being backlights, we've had sets before in our shop where an image wasn't visible, but it still turned out being bad lamp strips. Power boards are a bit different on Hisense sets as loss of backlights can put the set in sleep mode leaving only the standby voltage. Best way to troubleshoot the set would be with a backlight tester
Hi try to use a power module if you can (it's a risky situation "high voltage" or get a qualified personel) on the power issue turn it to 5 volts up to 7 volts while checking the functionality.
Your LED backlights are bad and need replacing, it's something you can do yourself but look at some youtube vids before attempting to do it, the panel is extremely fragile on this model set, be careful handling it or it will break then the TV is junk and the money spent on lamp strips is waisted. Also match the old strips to the pictures of new ones as this model uses 2 styles of strips, best place to buy them is shopjimmy.com
Hello William, for what you say, you have a problem in backlighting
It can be the source that feeds the LEDs or that the lighting LEDs are wrong
the solution, replace the led strips, that do not work,
Correct solution, change all the LED strips of the backlight
I send you a video where they show the procedure
I hope you can solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil
Saludos Franco Dosil
It is a common problem for the Hisense TV, the problem is defective back lights ASSY, you need to find the burned, or shorted LED diodes on the defective strips & replaced it (them).
