Refrigerator too warm, replaced the damper assembly, replaced the Main Board, slight ice build up on vents in back of freezer, gurgling sounds for extended periods of time. Damper won't open so fridge gets too warm
The issue is more likely the defrost timer in the freezer unit. They usually defrost every 24 hours to keep the fins of the evaporator in the freezer free of ice. If the defrost timer isn't working, you get a big lump of ice that cold air can't pass through to the vent in the fridge. The gurgling sounds are worrying and may be indicative that you need a top up of refrigerant gas, in which case you need a service call. You probably didn't need the mainboard or the damper.
