Error 91-125 on a Beta SP UVW 1800 is a diagnostic code indicating a problem with the audio channel 1 input. The error message "appears like a feedback on audio channel 1" suggests that there is a signal present on audio channel 1 even though nothing is connected to it. This could be caused by a malfunctioning input or a problem with the internal signal routing.
Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot this issue:
Check all audio inputs and outputs to ensure that nothing is connected to audio channel 1.
Disconnect all cables from the Beta SP UVW 1800 and power it off. Wait for a few minutes and then power it back on.
Check the audio routing settings in the menu of the Beta SP UVW 1800 to ensure that audio channel 1 is not being routed to an unexpected location.
Inspect the audio channel 1 input for any damage or corrosion.
Try a different audio cable or input device to rule out any issues with the current cable or device.
Check the manual of the Beta SP UVW 1800 for any specific troubleshooting steps.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware issue and you may need to contact the manufacturer for further assistance. It could be a malfunction in the audio channel 1 input circuit or a problem with the internal signal routing. A qualified technician should be able to diagnose and repair the problem.
No front panel readout on a UVW-1800 is caused by the audio bargraph display failing. This display has an auxiliary power supply in it that provides power to the front panel display.
I found a site where the error code are. http://z.baidu.com/question/97641503.html 02-274 Failed to detect the T reel FG during threadingI hope this helps
UVW-1800 error 02-694 indicates a problem with one or both reel motors. check the cables going to both motors; have seen failures related to these cables.
I just found this post on another site :
tsvservice- 29th Jun 2007 14:0109-221 is "failure to complete threading within the specified time". in plain talk, the mechanism in the deck that threads the tape around the heads is not working. this could be a bad motor, bad gear, or even a bad tape.
Digital tapes should still eject normally (they are the same size and shape) which indicates that it has jammed somewhere inside.
If you want to fix it yourself you will have to remove the cover and check the tape.
If the cassette hasn't spooled up and all the tape is inside the cassette you should be able to unscrew the carriage (the cradle that takes the tape in and down) and remove it that way.
If the tape has spooled around the heads there is a cog (can't remember the exact position of it) arranged vertically near the side of the machine that you can manually wind the spooling arms back into the cassette.
check your tape deck unit throughly check for any physical damage of REWIND/FORWARD Gears.and FLY Wheel.
and dis locateion of some lever positions.
defnitly you get solved
The probem as told on another site (sorry, can't remember to give proper credit) is that the pinch roller is not making contact with the capstan. THis is exacly what happened to my 1800 after sitting for a long time with no use. THe solution was to manually excersize the lever going to the solenoid to unstick the mechanism. Then, voila, pinch roller pinches, tape moves, UVW1800 happy again.
