What I have read is that you must pull the wire through to gather the cone up to be flush with the ceiling. Seriously I would return it and get another lamp. This does not seem like a good system to me from what I have tried to find out for you.
you have 2 options or a) call locksmith b) follow the steps mentioned. Instructions
Unwind the metal coat hanger so it's straight. Bend the end of the hanger so the tip resembles a hook.
Slide the hooked end of the hanger between the window and
the door frame right in front of the side of the door handle that is
closest to the side mirror. Push the hanger down 1 1/2 feet and make
sure the hook is facing you.
Pull up and down on the coat hanger until the hook grabs the
metal lock arm. The door lock handle will start to move once the hook
has grabbed it. Pull up on the coat hanger until the door lock releases,
then open the door.
Straighten out the metal coat hanger and bend one end of the hanger into
a hook shape. Make the hook about one inch.
Place the end of the metal coat hanger with the hook on it between the
window and the frame. Place the hanger 1/2 an inch behind the door handle
toward the the edge of the door closest to the rear door.
Push the hanger down about two feet into the door frame. Pull up on the
hanger until you feel the hook catch onto the metal arm inside the door frame
that controls the lock. You may have to try a few times before the hook catches
the metal arm.
Pull up on the hanger once the hook has connected to the metal arm until
the door lock unlocks. The lock handle on the inside of the car will move once
you have connected the hook to the metal arm that controls the door lock.
Hi Jackie ma268...
You need a metal coat hanger nd a pair of pliers.
You will straighten out the coat hanger with a pair of pliers, except the end that you hang the clothes hanger up with, because it has got the hook already made..
After you have gotten the hanger straight, you will take the hook of the hanger and make a smaller hook that will slide easy into your hose with the hook being able to catch the sock ...once it has caught the sock, then twist it a few times so that it will get caught up in the sock really well...then pull the sock out of the hose...Job done.

Hi. Under or near the tailpipe, there are rubber and sometimes steel hangers that are placed onto the sides of the pipe structure. These move with the assembly to provide little flexibility during travel. These hangers also are there to keep the pipe/muffler assembly from dragging or hanging to low. When the hanger assembly becomes unstable or damaged, it will allow the tail pipe assembly to hang low or sometimes drag the ground when you hit a bump. The necessary actions are to raise the vehicle high so that you can inspect the exhaust tail pipe assembly for broken hangers or steel bracing devices. replace any rubber hangers that may be snapped or missing form their respective locations. If you are uncomfortable with raising the vehicle, i would take the unit to a local muffler/exhaust shop for the inspection.
You can use a wire hanger with a hook bent onto the end fairly easily if you slide it down the window and try to feel around to hook onto the lock mechanism. It may take a bit of patience, but I got into my 2000 with not too much trouble. Then do what I did immediately afterwards - get another key cut to keep in your wallet...
