Whirlpool Gas Oven Model WFG510S0AS2, Ser R44373042 Oven & Broiler NF

Over the last six months or so, the oven has taken between 2 and 10 attempts to turn on and heat up. Now we're getting nuthin. Broiler same way. No life signs or sounds, no click, no whoosh, no gas smell. Stovetop igniters work fine. Incidentally, back when it did work, it wouldn't let us decrease the oven temp from the default 350...though it did let us increase the temp. I'm thinking control board? Can someone confirm before I plunk down the big bux and where's the most economical parts source? Quick search turned up $560...jeezus What's the warranty on Whirlpool? We bought this stove in 2018. Thanks in advance for any wisdom! Cheers, Geoff Addendum 9/12: Yeah, Ray, that's kinda what I figured re the warranty. I'm hoping to DIY this if I can positively ID the problem part. A guy on another board suggested I look at the "oven spark controller". I see on the schematic where that is in the control panel neighborhood, does that do double-duty for both stovetop and oven? Or are there separate spark controls for the two?

Whirlpool WFG510S0AS2 range - stove burners work just fine, but both the oven and broiler does not stay lit. NOTE - this unit has been converted from natural gas to LP

when the lp conversion is done , it is normally just a jet size change that is done
however the air shroud has to also be adjusted to get a clean blue burn of the flame
The just jet change results in a slightly yellow flame which is incomplete burn of the gas and that creates carbon build up at the jet and burners causing partial blockage
I would suggest that you call in an accredited gas fitter to check the problem and if necessary , clean the jets and adjust the air shroud

We have a GE Spectra XL 44 oven and the broiler will not light The oven works fine the burners work fine and there's a new controller that was installed within the last six months

Hello,
What you need to check is if the spark is strong at the bake burner.To do that remove the oven floor and the flame spreader under the oven floor, set the oven to bake and look for a good bright spark. If the spark is good the bake burner needs to be replaced,if it's a weak spark the electrode(spark Plug) will be needed.

Whirlpool gas oven Model sb160peeb5 Broiler lights but the oven does not.

Sounds like you need a glow coil ignitor. The broiler and the oven have seperate ignitors. You can pick up one from First Source parts house.

Oven doesn't heat up until "lock" is activated and disactivated and i'm not sure if oven temp. is correct with this new problem. broil turns on after resetting lock but bake setting doesn't. unsure whether...

We had a similar issue. The problem was the igniter going bad, but still working "somewhat".
I think when you are putting the lock on, you might be going into self-cleaning mode, where the broiler comes on as well. The broiler has its own igniter, so that would be igniting the gas.
