Electrolux EWW1486HDW. Every time it's turned on, why does it go straight to 1 minute, then locks and unlocks?
Every time the machine is powered on with the on/off switch it automatically tries to start a cycle, the time is blank for a few seconds then shows 1 minute, the door locks and about 15 seconds later the machine does nothing in between it goes to 0 and unlocks as though the cycle has finished.
I cannot change any settings such as cycle type, temperature, spin, drain etc. Every time I try to change anything it immediately tries to start the cycle again, and results in the same 1 minute lock unlock.
If I do this with the door open the machine continuously tries to lock the door. I've tried unplugging the machine and tried a number of button press combinations but can't seem to reset anything?
I've tried opening and closing the door at least 6 times within 10 seconds as I've seen elsewhere but again nothing has changed!

I see that you are having trouble with the control lock not unlocking on your Electrolux range. I suggest resetting your appliance, by shutting the power off at the circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Once you have restored power, the first thing you will need to do is set the clock. You will do this by entering in the time and pressing the start button. If the door has not unlocked, try pressing and holding down the control lock button for 5-10 seconds. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your range status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
Try unpluging for a few minutes . wake the washer up by turning knob then at the same time press and hold start cancel error will display . take off top and you will find a tech sheet on left side and that should help. you can manually unlock the door after taking top off and reach down to door lock you will feel a plastic switch to pull
