I have an LG 441g, neither Tech support from LG,nor Net 10 (service provider) can solve no text go ing or coming.

We've cleaned the sim card, sent and received a text from my own phone sent by me to me... Still cannot receive a text from or send one to others

Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issue with your LG 441g not sending or receiving texts.

Basic Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Restart Your Phone:
    • Turn off your LG 441g, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Check Signal Strength:
    • Make sure you have a good signal. Poor signal strength can affect text messaging.
  3. Ensure Airplane Mode is Off:
    • Check that airplane mode is not enabled. If it is, disable it.
  4. Check Message Center Number:
    • Sometimes the message center number might get changed. Make sure it's correct for your service provider.
    • Go to Messages > Settings > Message Center and verify the number. Contact Net10 support to confirm the correct number if needed.
  5. Clear Messaging App Cache and Data:
    • Go to Settings > Apps > Messages > Storage > Clear Cache. If this doesn't work, try Clear Data.
  6. Verify Your Plan:
    • Ensure that your plan includes text messaging and that your account is in good standing.
  7. Check for Software Updates:
    • Make sure your phone's software is up to date. Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update.

Advanced Troubleshooting

  1. Reset Network Settings:
    • Go to Settings > System > Reset > Network Settings Reset. This will reset all network settings, including Wi-Fi, Mobile Data, and Bluetooth.
  2. SIM Card Issue:
    • Sometimes the SIM card might not be seated properly. Remove the SIM card, clean it gently with a soft cloth, and reinsert it.
  3. Factory Reset (as a last resort):
    • If nothing else works, consider a factory reset. Note: This will erase all data on your phone. Backup important data before proceeding.
    • Go to Settings > System > Reset > Factory Data Reset.
If you have already tried all these steps and the issue persists, it could be a hardware problem. In that case, visiting a local service center or contacting LG for further support might be necessary.

This is very obviously an AI Chat GPT 4 copy and pasted answer. We don't permit them on Fixya and they are removed.

You are also answered Questions, and then repeating the Answer as a Comment to your own Answer. Messy and a waste of Pixels :>D

There is no payment for Answers and Points are just for fun.

    Thanks.
