Any ideas why my Samsung smart TV is flashing a faint white light on a black screen. The standby light is also flashing.

I have a Samsung model code: UN46H5203AFXZA; Version Number: TD01; Serial Number: 02PZ3CBF601719Y. I've tried different power sources and unplugging all external devices, but the standby light is flashing about every 2-3 seconds, and the screen is black with a white flashing light at the top. Any ideas? I greatly appreciate you're help. Thanks.

Sounds like your backlights are bad, can you see a faint picture with the flashlight test

Testimonial: "I tried the flashlight test and there was no picture. It’s almost like the tv is shutting on and off. I thought maybe it was the cord or outlet, so I changed outlets. I don’t have another cord, but after reading some other post, they said it may be the main board has gone bad. Any idea how to test that theory?"

Test the power cord to be sure your getting voltage to the female end as the first test, if that's ok test the 5 volt standby on the power board, if you don't have that you need a new power board, if you have 5 volts there look for the BL_ON terminal on the power board, you need to see 3+ volts there, that's the signal from the main telling the backlight driver in the power board to turn on, if you don't see that you won't have backlights so the main need's to be replaced, if you see that voltage then the main is ok and a few more tests need to be done to figure out what's going on.

How to repair a samsung Led tv model ua 50f 5500 amxxs. When I switch ON. it just show the flashing SMART Logo.It will not go to the tv channel.

If the TV displays the menu or Smart Hub when you press the button on the remote - the TV is on, it's just displaying a black screen. Change the Source on the TV to another input. See the page on Samsung TV has No Picture for more troubleshooting steps.

Depending on the TV, there will be a Jog Controller or TV Control Stick that will allow you to access the TV menu and change the source. Use the control on the TV to select an option - toggle it left or right to see if anything appears on the TV.
If the control menu appears on the screen, the TV is on but not displaying any input. Check the connections or change the input source on the TV. If the controller button works on the TV, but not the remote, check the batteries in the remote control.

Unplug the TV from the power source and leave it for a minute or two. Reconnect the power cable directly to the wall rather than a surge protector. If the TV Standby light appears - the TV is receiving power. If the Standby light still doesn't appear, please get in touch to organise a service.

Samsung PS51D6900DM smart TV. Stopped working and the red light flashed. DC/DC chip was burnt on the logic main board, led didn't flash. New board fit, Turns on. LED flashes now NO PICTURE Please help

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, [Exclude the model number] in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.
