What's wrong with my Logitech mouse? Is it permanently damaged?
I have a wireless Logitech mouse M150, one night I left it out and it got wet. After that i quickly tried to dry it, but it doesn't respond, or it does after 20+ tries of turning it off and on. However, when it does respond it's just glitching the mouse towards one direction and I have no control over it. It's not the batteries, I've replaced those at least 3 times so far. The light doesn't even turn on anymore, is it time to just buy a new one?
you drowned it, it is not water poof att all. (if wi
put it i the attic for 1 day and the 100f degree's thew wiil dry out the rain.
left out means what, sitting on the beach in the surf? what? you know what you did wrong, why belabor the failings. of wet mouse.
the is 2 cures, a new mouse or a bake out in the attic. 24hours in the attic or 6am to 6pm, heat of day.
pure water called rail will dry out, other things not likely. (like sea water, etc)you drowned it, it is not water poof att all. (if wi

rain water is pure and dries out leaving NOTHING, . Direct RAIN, not run off from roof or swaps. bake it dry, and use a backup mouse spend $5, throw caution to the wind.rain water is pure and dries out leaving NOTHING, . Direct RAIN, not run off from roof or swaps.

A number of times, I had the USB transceiver go defective after a bit more than a year. First make sure the mouse batteries are in good condition. If so, I would try the transceiver. I ordered about six of them from Logitech. I have a number of computers using these. After having two fail I decided to have spares all the time.
Dust has accumulated inside this mouse and will be needed to be opened and cleaned
This happens to all devices in time wireless or not
You will be surprised at all the dust inside of it upon openning
Other than the obvious batteries going down, it could be 1) channel selector needs to be recycled ( receiver looking into wrong channel) 2) software is pointing toward traditional mouse ( wireless mouse got deselected) 3) mouse broke, very improbable.
1. press the black link button on your puck or key that connects to the PC usb port.
2. turn the only switch on the bottom to ON (to the right)
3. press the link button on your mouse on the underside.
4. double left click your mouse to make sure it will wake up and run
5. check it on another USB port
6. look for damaged pins in your usb port on the laptop
