You said "used flash light method" but never said if you could see a anything on the screen, if you can it's a backlight issue but unfortunately this model set is VERY hard troubleshoot and find out what the issue is as it has local dimming

NO you cannot. In some cases, power surges from storms etc. increase the current ratios to excessive amounts and damage the TV's circuit boards. Unless you have Test equipment and the knowledge to trace a circuit for faults, then you cannot fix the TV.

Basic Troubleshooting Help if your Vizio LED TV has a blank screen and no ... It is on an UPS but turned off ...
I w having this same issue when watching a Blu-Ray disc. I found it to be dependent upon what picture mode the TV was set to. By this I mean certain picture modes would cause the TV to dim during dark scenes of a movie. Changing the picture mode helped a lot.
This same thing happened in my 32 in vizio and vizio paid an HDTV tech to come out to my house to fix it. He says he ALWAYS gets calls on vizios and this same thing is always the problem. He said Vizio paid more money for the screws on the tv then they did the power board in the tv. You want to either have someone fix it or buy a new power board and fix it yourself. It took the tech 15 min from start to finish to fix my tv and he had drove 2 hours to get here.
I had the same issue happen to my vizio lcd just this weekend. Everyone is telling me is a bulb or backlight or something. It would explain the loud pop and no picture, but I'm not getting sound either so I'm not sure what exactly happened. Only after about 2 years too. I'm trying to find parts to just fix it myself.
