Q:
What do I do if my system fails validation, but I am certain that I purchased/have a genuine copy of Windows? A: When a copy of Windows fails validation, the user is directed to a customized Web page with details about what caused the failure and recommendations for how to fix the problem. This page contains a section with troubleshooting steps. One of these steps will let you check to see whether you can use the online Product Key Update Tool. If your computer came with a genuine product key, but Windows was improperly installed using an invalid product key, the Product Key Update Tool helps convert your computer to a genuine status without having to purchase a new copy of Windows. If this solution does not work, refer to the instructions above for what to do when your system fails validation.

Well if you don;t have the original discs it is possible it isn't genuine. Some retailers use the same disk and installation on more than 1 computer. Whilst this is a deceptive practice iyt is hard to prove.
If someone else installed XP for you and used clone disks then it would still report non genuine.

MS is never wrong in their reporting of non genuine software. They have it coded into their software as a system file.

What is the product key of Microsoft Windows XP Professional With Servise Pack 2?

When installing Windows XP Service Pack 2, there is _NO_ need to enter a product-key,
unless you are running a "non-genuine" copy of Windows.

See: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/
for more information about how to "get genuine".

How can i remove this problem "Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 This copy of Windows is not genuine" appear when i boot my laptop. Thanks

indows Genuine Advantage Notifications for Windows XP notifies you if a copy of Windows XP is not genuine. The notification messages only appear on computers that have failed the WGA validation process and that are running a copy of Windows XP that is not genuine. If you are running a validated, genuine copy of Windows XP, you will not receive notification messages.

I can't end wgatray.exe by task manager nor delete it by using shift+delete havig said I 've already opened C:windowssystem32wgatray.exe.

wgatray.exe runs in the background to validate your Genuine Windows XP software against a list of serial numbers that are blacklisted by Microsoft.

If your system is running pirated XP, the wgatray process will show a pop-up warning - "This copy of Windows XP is not genuine" - this is no error or virus, its a reminder from Microsoft to go original.

Though you can temporarily disable Windows Genuine Advantage notifications by removing wgatray.exe or wgalogon, this is never recommended since you will not be able to download important security updates and patches from Microsoft Updates website.

If you are running a counterfeit or illegal version of Windows XP, rather than hunting for a wga workaround, just get the authentic GGK kit from Microsoft to convert your pirated XP into Genuine software by changing the XP product key - completely legit way to make Windows genuine and you need not reinstall your Windows XP.

The WGA patch is installed if the user has opted to automatically update Windows via the Windows Update Website or if a XP users manually downloads the latest Windows updates.

Window xp

A pirated windows cannot be made genuine in any way. There are patches that just disable the genuine windows check, but the windows still wont be genuine, and you wont be able to download certain updates from Microsoft.

Regarding performance there is no difference between a genuine windows and non genuine one. However non genuine windows does not download all updates, this can cause troubles when a software need the updates.

Always better using genuine Windows.
