Double check the flat ribbon connectors going from the panel boards to be sure they're all connected correctly, if they are the panel was damaged when it was handled, or from static, if grounding bands aren't worn it's quite easy to damage it from static.
Generally what your describing is a bad EEPROM on the main board, its a common failure for Vizio sets, I would say you received a defective replacement board
Check your ribbon keyboard connector and make sure it is lined up properly. Sometimes it sets crooked and will not connect properly. If that dont work check your t con board.
Without being there to physically test various locations on each of your boards with a multi-meter it's almost impossible to determine what the root cause is. However, given that you start out with a picture before giving way to a black screen, it would lead me to believe your main board, or called a picture board, is faulty. This is the board inside the television that has video output hook-ups, such as the composite and components and HDMI's. On this board will be a serial number that you may enter into your search query and find a replacement online, and the prices widely vary so be sure to do some shopping. This is primarily a plug and play operation and you will remove a handful of screws and possible ribbons.
there are 3-4 boards at the bottom of the tv. most brands call them z sustain boards you either have a bad one or the ribbon cable needs to be reset. be careful with those ribbon cables as they are fuzzed to the panel and cannot be fixed. the board usually cost 20-30 dollars.Good luck!!!
