I put the old Tcon board back in and I'm actually getting more from that than this new part. I'm wondering if the Tcon board just doesn't work with my TV? Ordered it from shop jimmy and they saisd it was the match up for my model. With the old one in I'm getting audio, backlight and could see some of the screen with the new board in everything is black and the red lines are running down the screen.
You can't match parts by TV model number as several different boards are used in the same model set and in most cases they look identical but will not work. You need to order by part number only not model, a lot of times the stamped number on the board won't work either as there are different versions of the same board, use the paper sticker numbers on your old board. If you would have ordered the part on ebay I'd say you may have got a bad board but with shopjimmy this happens very seldom. Assuming it's your tcon that is actually bad you either have the wrong part number or you got a bad board if the replacement one seems to work worse. There are only 4 things that will cause your issue, most common is tcon board, or ribbon connectors, remove the ribbon connectors and gently clean the contacts with a pencil eraser then wipe them down with rubbing alcohol, also check from broken or bent pins, remove the LVDS cable(s) that go from the main to the tcon board and clean them as well, check for bent or broken pinns, it's seldom a main will cause your issue, the other thing is an issue with the panel boards or wheat chips in the sub ribbons and those are part of the panel assembly and not replaceable .There is a way to test your panel and see if it has issues but rule out the other possibilities first.
Testimonial: "Hi thanks I actually did give them the part number on the board that's why they suggested that one was my match and it came with the label was tested, cleaned and passed inspection. I've sent a message asking if the part itself is actually correct waiting on a response but in the meantime will try the things you suggested and if it doesn't work will have to take it to a repair man I guess. Thanks a lot!"
If your original boards works better than the one you received and it's the correct board there has to be something wrong with the board you received. It would be extremely rate to get a defective board from shopjimmy as they do test much better than anywhere else I've found, one other thing, when handling the board you want to take static precautions and if possible use grounding straps as they can be damaged quite easily by static
