It powers on, heater works but when I push button for jets, it kicks off. I was told it was most likely the capacitor but it can't be switched out on this particular model, I would have to get a new motor

Air Switch Repair
It sounds like you have a bad air switch located in your motor.
The air switch is what the air hose connects to on the back of the motor or on the box on top of the motor. The other end of the air hose is connected to the air button on the lip of the tub.
This is a latching air switch and when you push the air button it latches to send power to the motor. When the air button is pushed again it opens the latch in the air switch and stops power going to the motor shutting it off.
I'm going on somewhat limited information here not knowing if the tub is newly installed or if this is a spa that has been working in the past and just started doing this. It would be helpful to know if this is a recently installed pump as well. That said here are a few things to check. If it's a new install: Your electrician has more than likely wired the spa incorrectly. Be sure that the spa pack has 220V going into the pack and that the GFCI is wired correctly. If it's an old spa with a new problem: A lot of times a bad heater element can cause a spa to trip the breaker. If you have a bad element the spa will operate normally for about a minute when you turn the power on, then trip the breaker as soon as the heater kicks in. If it only trips the breaker when the pump is turned on to high speed, more than likely there is a problem with the wiring of the pump or the relay on the pump itself.
You're pump #1 has failed. Your spa has 2 water pumps and an air pump. Number 1 pump pushes water through the heater. Pump 2 simply supplies the second set of jets with water. The air pump simply pushes air through the air jets. If pump one fails you will have no heat and the first set of jets will not turn on. Pump 1 is the most prone to failure because it kicks on any time the spa needs to filter or heat. This happens automatically every day so pump 1 works much harder than pump 2. Your heater has a safety mechanism that makes sure that water is flowing through the heater when it kicks on. If there is a problem with pump 1 your heater will not kick on. There are stickers on your #1 pump. Get the model number off of the sticker and order a replacement pump from a web site like www.spapartsdepot.com. If you give them the model number of the pump they can send you a replacement. I'm 100% sure that's the problem. I'm not affiliated in any way with the web site I mentioned but I'm pretty sure they will have the pump you need. Good luck!
The tub experienced an overheat situation. This may be due to leaving the t stat turned all the way up and not monitoring or the hi-limit sensor is defective. The hi-limit sensor will shut down the heating cicuit if temp gets above 105 D optimally.the fact that the heater light is on is a good sign that things are working at this point.Whether or not a suitable temp(100-103 D) will be arrived at is to be seen. If spa heat kicks off before set temp is reached then replace hi-limit sensor.
